Then he must be in the top 1% of all males in terms of having high character.Losing builds character, if you look at it all sciencey.

Profound!whether he likes to lose or not, one thing is for certain, he's darn good at it!

History speaks to such.I don't know if he likes losing or not, but if we retain him, it means we like losing.
I agree, I think we can hire a much better coach, I hope our current AD will prove this to be the case in the coming weeks.I don't know if he likes losing or not, but if we retain him, it means we like losing.
They now have a worse record than we do. We can say Paris owns the state of Mississippi! woohooSorry but I disagree. ole miss coach was in sweet 16 last year and we just beat them, you don’t hear bunch of crazy people wanting to fire him.
Lost almost everyone from that team and Beard put together the worst roster in the SEC save one.Sorry but I disagree. ole miss coach was in sweet 16 last year and we just beat them, you don’t hear bunch of crazy people wanting to fire him.
Paris has 3 of the worst 4 seasons we’ve had since we joined the SEC. We didn’t make the sweet 16 last season. So what exactly gives you confidence he can do a job that he’s been awful at so far?Sorry but I disagree. ole miss coach was in sweet 16 last year and we just beat them, you don’t hear bunch of crazy people wanting to fire him.
Are you are comparing Chris Beard to Lamont Paris. No disrespect intended here, but when you look at the resume of Chris Beard, he has a much better job history than Lamont Paris by far. Per Wikipedia, this is his first losing season in his career as head coach, for perspective, Ole Miss is his 6th school as a hc. Frankly he is the type of coach we should hire, a person with a consistent record of winning/competitive over a number of seasons with multiple schools. Ole Miss fans would be foolish to be calling for his dismissal at this point in my opinion.Sorry but I disagree. ole miss coach was in sweet 16 last year and we just beat them, you don’t hear bunch of crazy people wanting to fire him.
this was his only losing season as a head coach between 6 different schoolsLost almost everyone from that team and Beard put together the worst roster in the SEC save one.
I agree, when looking at Lamont Paris's resume, there isn't much to indicate he can turn this program around.Paris has 3 of the worst 4 seasons we’ve had since we joined the SEC. We didn’t make the sweet 16 last season. So what exactly gives you confidence he can do a job that he’s been awful at so far?
Others have posted about paying off Paris' contract. Can the school afford such an expense? That does not mean I support Paris. It means there may be other factors the school has to consider.I don't know if he likes losing or not, but if we retain him, it means we like losing.
Some have said we should fire him and negotiate a lower buyout. Those people are dreaming. If my employer fires me and then comes to me and asks me to take a lower buyout than my contract gives me, I'm telling them to pound sand.Others have posted about paying off Paris' contract. Did you forget that we were last in the SEC last year?Sorry but I disagree. ole miss coach was in sweet 16 last year and we just beat them, you don’t hear bunch of crazy people wanting to fire him.
Without NIL $, neither will be successful. Are you are comparing Chris Beard to Lamont Paris. Exactly. "We'll let Paris go in exchange for a $12,000,000 donation above and beyond what you are currently contributing. Any takers?"Some have said we should fire him and negotiate a lower buyout. Those people are dreaming. If my employer fires me and then comes to me and asks me to take a lower buyout than my contract gives me, I'm telling them to pound sand.
$12 million buyout on top of what a new coach will cost pretty much ensures MBB will not be profitable for a while. SC is in a tough spot with Paris.
He was the wizard of inexplicably large buyouts.Ray Tanner's retired and he's still the gift that keeps on giving
The University is still paying him near a million annually for being a "consultant."Ray Tanner's retired and he's still the gift that keeps on giving
Typical. Lifetime contract we're basically shelling out. RidiculousThe University is still paying him near a million annually for being a "consultant."
That's kinda been our MO. We seem to be a one stop shop where outgoing coaches can extend their career while adding to their pensions. That goes for coaches both inside and outside the program. We are THE pre-retirement universityTypical. Lifetime contract we're basically shelling out. Ridiculous
Precisely. You may never coach again or at minimum take a lesser role after you leave, but your net worth will increase substantially during the time you're here. That's kinda been our MO. It's very easy to spend other people's money. That's kinda been our MO. We seem to be a one stop shop where outgoing coaches can extend their career while adding to their pensions. That goes for coaches both inside and outside the program. We are THE pre-retirement university
Do teachers unions extend to college? ... because it kinda feels like they are running the show. It's very easy to spend other people's money.
Ray Tanner, every agent's dream! The University is still paying him near a million annually for being a "consultant."
Vanderbilt did pretty good with the same level of NIL funding as USC, I believe they went 25-7 this seasonWithout NIL $, neither will be successful.
You must have missed when I mentioned there are exceptions on both ends of the spectrum? It can be done with little money but the example are few and far between.Vanderbilt did pretty good with the same level of NIL funding as USC, I believe they went 25-7 this season
