Yup he is declaring. I mean I hope the best for the kid and hope it all works out. But this isn't exactly a smart move at this point.
Can't blame him. He's not going to gain much more with one more year in Mike's stupid *** scheme that puts 1 DT on the field at a time. He's sharing 1 spot with 3 or 4 guys.

I'm betting it has something to do with not wanting to show his mom his report card.
He had his great moments but he still is not exactly what I would call NFL ready.
This kid only played in 15 OU football games. Twelve this season. Does he think he had that great of a year? Wow!!
He could not even get honorable mention for all Big 12...which tells me he will be either passed by or a very late draft pick. He has not much on his side to be honest.
If he has good measurables and a good combine performance, his career at OU won't mean squat. That's a big "if."
Somebody will draft him. That is a big cat. He just needs to eat blocks in the NFL and occasionally make a play.
