He’s still raw but holds his own when needed. Good role player and allows Big O. to get rest. That’s exactly what UK needs from him.

He played well when he was in there, lately he has been productive when put in. He always hustles and plays tough defense.

Doesn't get to play much being Oscar's sub but it seems like he's found another gear lately. Shout out to Lance.
Lance is making those folks calling for him to transfer earlier, saying he's not UK caliber, etc, look like idiots. And this is coming in his sophomore year; by the time he's a senior he'll have put himself in a position to compete for the starting 5 spot. Barring having Oscar 2 on the roster at the time, he'll have a good shot at winning it.

Lance knows his role. He’s been very effective in the 8-10 mins a game that we need him. I’ll be honest, I once said “I’d rather have Zan Payne on the floor over Ware” but Ware is owning his role now and is an important piece of a very good team.

Lance kind of reminds me of Eloy Vargas. Loves being a Cat, embraces his role, comes in and plays his butt off, always good for a bucket or two and a few boards. He’s not quite as big as Eloy but fills a very similar role backing up Oscar as Eloy did backing up AD in 2012.

I’m still not over the play where he threw it off dude’s face. He pulled a Josh Harrelson on Lightfoot tonight. A thing of beauty. Ware is emerging as the back up big to Oscar that is going to be crucial in the tournament. I would love for him to have a Marcus Lee type run in the NCAA

Ware is a sophomore with upside. Vargas was basically what he was.

If Lance plays like that every night, it's EXACTLY what we need.
This. Told the wife tonight that he had been playing real well the last couple weeks. He looked real good tonight. You’re right, his productive minutes are exactly what this team needs. That fastball off of Lightfoot’s face was awesome! Shades of Jorts against Ohio State in 2011!

I liked his potential when I saw him last year. He had some really good footwork around the rim just couldn’t finish the shot. Still a weakness but getting better.

Important piece this year and way more going forward.

I have always felt Ware hurries when he gets the ball in his hands, almost like a hot potato he has to get rid of. The last couple of games he seems to have slowed down a bit and it has made him much more effective, it is very encouraging. We will need him come tourney time as the whistles tighten up in NCAA tourney time he WILL get some minutes. His motor is without question.
