I feel the biggest regret is Penn State having to part ties with the man when they did. He just gets it with the Defensive Line and the who can play it.

maybe but certainly not the greatest position ever at PSU. Certainly Bad Rad, Dan Radakovich is among them though.
It's sweet that you admire Larry Johnson, Sr. so much. However, to overlook the decades of exceptional assistant coaches at a successful school like Penn State (much less the entirety of CFB) is a bit hyperbolic.
OTTOMH, guys like Jim O'Hora, Dan Radakovich, Dick Anderson, and Ron Vanderlinden could be cited as top-level positional coaches at Penn State. I'm sure fans of other programs can name equally deserving assistant coaches.

its a crying shame, I understand why he is left off, but Jerry has to be among them as well , although he credits his success to Dan Radakovich.
Excellent coach but he left when he didn’t get the head coaching gig to take a lateral position at OSU (with of course the ego soothing claim that he was the DL AND an assistant head coach). However, he was never promoted to DC at OSU let alone named a head coach anywhere else.

He is a solid coach and recruiter but he is also a turncoat. And LJ Jr... don't even get me started
