The next Olympic-style event on the calendar is the Last Chance Qualifier. It will be staged in Fairfax, VA on April 6-7.

Registration is is open until Friday (4/5), or through Friday (I'm not sure which), so the list of contestants may increase.

The champions in the Last Chance Qualifier in each weight class of Greco-Roman, WFS, and MFS, will earn an invite to the Olympic Trials, being held at PSU later this month.

This weight class reminds me of an old joke punch-line, to paraphrase; 'This water's cold. Deep too'.

Just a heads up, I'll be traveling, and not spending much time on the board, this weekend. I'm hoping to be in position to observe the total eclipse on Monday. So in essence, I won't be able to provide much coverage of this event.

WOW. Both Forrest and Bassett are in the Finals. Unreal to say the least. Those 2 are must gets by Cael and Staff. Heck if they win they will be wrestling in the BJC this month for an Olympic spot…..That’s like beyond imagination!

High school wrestler and PSU potential recruit Jax Forest must be some wrestler-he beat former Ohio State wrestler Nathan Tomasello tech fall and'
thus qualifies for the Olympic trials at 57Kg. Former PSU 2 time National Champ Vincenzo Joseph won and thus qualifies for the trials at 74 kg,

They still have to take those guys down which is just impressive as a HS sophompre. Forrest hit a crazy sweet dump on Nato. It was slick as hell man.

Not so fast my friend (insert Lee Corso's voice) but I believe Forrest is 17 years old. I know, what difference does it really make because he's a 17 year old sophomore? Elite kids seem to be taking that 8th grade RS shirt more often than not these days.
