Last Play vs the Cards.

That last possession was played fantastically by Jordan and Zion. After all the replays I keep on watching, i just cant stop, it just jumps out more and more. Jordan stuck right on his man without coming close to fouling through multiple moves/fakes and stayed square to his man and put great pressure on the shot.

Then Zions rebound. That was a man's rebound!! It started with the Card player (Enoch?), who has what, 4-5 inches on him, shoving/arm barring him from behind. It finished with a vicious 2 handed rebound while being sandwiched between and fighting off 2 Cards.

That is the exact kind of shot we have too often not defended well enough in the past on end game possessions and the kind of rebound we have lost in previous years.

Could be Louisville picked on Jordan for the last basket and Jordan was up to the task.

No one but Zion was getting that last rebound.

My guess is we see a healthy dose of Jordan tomorrow evening as a reward for his part in the Comeback.

More Jordan is great for 3 reasons. It would be great to be able to rest Tre a little. Playing Jordan and Tre is a great defensive option to have. That 9+ minute segment gave opponents a whole different package to have to prepare for. And, if Jordan can be effective, it really lessons the impact of Jack and Alex not getting it done. A productive Jordsn does wonders for this team and could be the missing link for #6.

I was shocked they didn’t try to pull Zion out of the paint. Even if he had gotten past Goldwire, he wasn’t getting it over Zion.

Dont think they even imagined doing anything tricky for fear of a turnover. Dont think they wanted Zion anywhere near the ball.

But they let his guy stand on the block. They should have sent him to the corner and stand there for a kick out.

Good point
Zions biggest struggles that game on D were when he came off a potential open shooter on the perimeter to help out and or gamble for a steal and got burned by a 3.

Will we see Tre and Jordan in the game at the same time anymore this season? I think it would work again in stretches if Jordan can continue to play defense like he did against Louisville.

This was a master plan for K. It's like when football teams don't show their whole playbook until late in the season. Clearly K knew that defensive setup would dominate and he saved it until he needed it most.

Pure genius.

We haven't talked about it a lot. But THANK GOSH that they just made it so that they can review the block/charge call in the last 2 minutes, because otherwise they would have shot free throws, not us.

Ah, my mistake! I thought since they were in double bonus it would have been. Still, would not have been able to give Cam the chance and they may have beaten us! So it was still a big help in the end.
