i wasn't being serious on who the MVP was.

But his defense today has been on key. He didn't jump, positioned better, and help defense has been best he played all season.

He looks great.

Also, stop looking just at points. Basketball is more complicated than that.

He's carried over last game performance. I love it.

He has the ability to do this every game. Hope he figures it out.

Like to watch Lee standing at free throw line rares back with hands on his hips.

Lee has given us the most for his minutes/ability at the front court position in the last two games IMO

Lee was the best big on the floor today besides Willie late in the second half.

Great job, Marcus!

First of I don't do what you say and secondly you typed the bogus header. Oh and sorry but most "points" is the stat that determines who wins the game Einstein. Don't come at me.

Lee did play well defensively. I'm going with Booker. Every time he shoots, I think it's going in. It is so unfair because that is way to much to put on a freshman.

3 times today Lee was completely lost on D. WCS has gotten lost 3 times in SEC conference play all together.

I'm happy to give a shout out to Lee today, his play lately has been a big pickup for our team. He deserves some praise for working hard and earning the play time. Booker's offense was the difference in the game, at least on the offensive side.

Although we didn't get much as far as field goals late in the second half, we earned our points primarily at the free throw stripe, and we made them when we needed to.

Great game all around !!!

Wait a minute. I wasn't aware that anybody but Willis ever got lost on defense.

When Lee plays like that UK is very hard to beat IMO. Comes in in place of WCS and continues to block and intimidate. Very important that he continues to play this way.

Lee played great today. I remember WCS used to get lost on defense nearly every other possession his freshman year and quite a bit last year as well. He'd just be out there floating around like one of those 7 year olds who chase butterflies when they're playing outfield in t-ball. Now look at WCS. Lee has made obvious improvements since last year and even since the start of this year.

Lee has really started to step up lately and it's great for us.

I agree he still gets lost too much on D, but it has been fun watching him grow as a player. He is much, much better today than he was at the start of the season.

If he continues to develop, he is going to play some big minutes for us in March.

I wouldn't say Lee was the MVP, even with his 4 blocks but I don't think we win today if doesn't come in and play as good as he did. WCS going out as early as he did was pretty ominous and Lee stepped up and played WCS roll pretty well. Next year Lee will be playing WCS's roll and will really show how good he can be.

My MVP's would be Booker and Ulis. Both played smart and good.

The question posed by the OP is: Where has [Marcus Lee] been?

The answer is: On the bench.

The next two questions should be: (1) because of whose decision, and (2) why?

Lee may be they key to us running through 40 games.
There's no poythress to play above the rim anymore, it has to be Lee.
Cal has to play him though

Said earlier, but to repeat....he is staying on his feet. At 7 feet, with those arms it still makes for a very difficult shot by our opponents, if on just stays in front of the shooter.

He did some anticipation when he did leave his feet.

Lee is still learning and from the best teachers. His team mates. He is transforming his self into a basketball player right in front of us. We have watched Willie transformed into a basketball player. He could be Willie next year.

yeah, this was a big.

He was also very good laterally, i liked that.

While posters above have said, yes he did miss. However, comparatively he played lights out.

I think Coach Cal said it as well. WCS also is a beast, so it's hard to get playing time, but when he did play he played well. He does need to improve his shooting in general.

He's got a pretty high ceiling. Very athletic, pretty good length. In that slender, super bouncy PF mold.

From my perspective, Marcus Lee is the one guy on the team i feel Cal really does not trust at all. He'll let the other guys make mistake after mistake before yanking them but when Marcus does one thing wrong he's immediately pulled. Even for just little things. I would love to see him get more minutes just to see what he could do
