The Caps championship got me through dad going through rehab for his hip (dementia included) as a lone bright spot. If they never win again, they did that.

I actually saw the Capitals in there expansion season so I've been there all along. Back then they didn't do what the did for the Vegas Knights and basically let all the other teams in the league protect one player and give them the top 30 picks in the draft. The Vegas team would have had to screw up really bad not to suck and they still haven't won a Stanley Cup.
Well. Makes it better being back in Tampa. Tampa requested family and friends in the arena if they won and Canada denied it.
So all this says to me is we are going to win it at home. Bolts will win two cups in a row, write it down.

Their government guaranteed they would at least make the conference finals this year.
Actually, I am serious. By banning crossing the border. The NHL did it differently this year. They broke the teams down geographically except for the Canadian teams. They had 4 divisions of 8, 8 ,8 and then the 7 Canadian teams. In the regular season and first 2 rounds of the playoffs you only played the teams in your own division. So Canada was guaranteed a team in the conference finals.
Their travel was a lot worse though. Especially compared to the eastern teams. They had a very compressed travel schedule whereas the Canadian division went from Montreal to Vancouver.

I don't think the referees should be able to call a penalty on 1 team and then embellishment on the other. Embellishment should only be called if there was no penalty.

Corey Perry made it to the Stanley Cup two straight years with two different teams and lost to Tampa both times.
It’s not completely unlikely that the Rays could win the World Series (probably not though). That would make for a hell of a run by the city.
Baseball used to be far and away my favorite sport. I would watch spring training games on WGN. Then they canceled the World Series and tried to make up for it by turning every game into a home run derby. I just looked up when the Devil Rays started and realized I haven't given a crap about baseball since before the Devil Rays started playing.
I’ll never understand why it took so long for Tampa to have an MLB team. Florida has always been baseball crazy.
