Over the years we have discussed our favorite buzzer beaters or majestic dunks but I can't recall a great defensive play thread. What is a great defensive play you remember? The 1st one that comes to my mind is Zion's across the court block that went into the seats vs. UVA. OFC

Great topic sky.

Battier's block and save that led to a Dunleavy 3 against Arizona was awesome.

Also, in the 1994 Final Four against UF, I'm pretty sure it was Antonio Lang who took a charge near half court that helped seal the win. There was also a nifty play and score K called right before or after. Basically, the players passed the ball from preset locations and got an easy score.

The Battier Arizona play others have mentioned. That man just made winning plays all over the place that season. Incredible.

Not just one single play but in 1988 Billy King held Temple's high scorring Mark Macon to 6-29 shooting from the field in the win over the Owls. Great D the entire game. OFC

Did he really go 6-39? I remember he was bad that day but 39 shots really? I don't remember him shooting that much but it's been a while

Sorry it was 6-29. I have big fingers. Should have noticed it. No excuse for false info . I will fix it. Thank you for correcting me. OFC

Tommy Amaker in NCAA game stole the ball twice in a row at half court and took it in for layups to blow the game open.Dawkins and him were so good that Dean would not let his guards bring the up court against them

I wasn't trying to correct you...I just remembered he had a bad game...just thought 39 shots was alot for one player...but then again 29 is too lol...he was an excellent college player though.

Again wasn't trying to correct you just trying to remember a little of the game...it was years ago lol

Might not be memorable for the defensive play.. but Rodney Hood’s taking the charge on CJ Fair... just because Boeheim’s reaction afterward was priceless still to this day!

I was important in 2010 that Duke went with a zone when Zoubek played. It made the difference in winning the NCAA tournament
