just as the title says...just starting the process of looking. Still plenty of time to be talked out of it, so feel free to do that if you feel strongly.

If not, who is good around town? I guess there are a couple types...inserts/shells which are cheaper but can potentially cause more problems, and poured concrete which are more expensive but last longer...

Pluses/minuses, approximate costs, headaches, saltwater(?), etc. Thanks.

Go.

Keep looking................. until you find a friend who has one.
That'll work unless you want something for laps or you live far enough away from the neighbors that you and mama can go skinny dipping.

Make sure to fish dead bodies out of your pool quickly or it will mess up your PH balance. Also up your umbrella insurance coverage to at least $2-$3 million so that you don't lose everything when the neighbor kid drowns in your great new pool.

Not sure about Lexington but we're about to put one in here and it's going to be around 30K for the salt water(less hassle and less abrasive), variable speed pump(all the quotes we received agreed that it pays for itself in 1-2 years), free form concrete pool with pebble tech finish(lasts way longer and you won't have to refinish the surface in 10-20 years, whereas pebble tech is lifetime guarantee).

Also, definitely get a sun shelf in the shallow end with an umbrella stand built in(that's all free), you'll enjoy that thing a ton especially for the ladies, kids or dogs.

Go.

Cancel that cheap club membership (no pool) you have and join a better club/course w/ a pool.

This is why people don't like you.

This is the house you seek.

Purchase this house and your quest for a pool will be fulfilled.

Hint: It's in Lexington.

GOAT of all message board threads.

I hate to admit it, but i just spent the last hour reading every post and every page of that 25 page thread. It's funny to think how crazy that thread could have became if more people joined in and how annoyed the people who lived at the house would have became when a bunch of random strangers showing up outside their house with cameras getting pics for the thread. I don't know about you guys, but i don't think i would want a bunch of posters from any internet forums stalking my property 24/7. As odd as that house seems, you can find the same in every small town in Kentucky. Every neighborhood has that one house that the owners decorate their yard with strange items. I started posting and visiting Kentucky sport sites since 2003, but never posted on any scout forums.
