I'd just as soon have it stolen as go to the Community Action Council, whatever TF that is. Better yet, just distribute it directly to the taxpayers.

I’ve lived here my entire life and I have zero idea what the community action council does.
Iowa City has the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) to bear witness to the truth of racial injustice in Iowa City and to carry out restorative justice, through the collection of testimony and public hearings, with such work to include a recommendation to the Council of a plan for dedicating and/or renaming public spaces and/or rights of way in honor of the Black Lives Matter movement.

From what I’ve read, it’s mostly a bunch of infighting. I think they’ve been shut down a few times due to actual fights and shouting matches breaking out.

Sir, this thread is about Lexington, KY, not Iowa City

I know there’s a similar type of “community action council” in the town north of where I live. Just a bunch of loud sistas trying to stick it to the man.

Recovered every dime. Were lucky to do so because Feds were able to freeze the account where the money got wired. Our firm got clipped for $20,000 a few years ago. It's happening all the time you can't be too careful.

If LFUCG's financial/budgeting etc. department works anything like FCPS, and I can pretty much assure you that it does (because ALL government offices operate this way) then a 2 minute stroll past their cubicles will garner all of the passwords you need to rob them blind.

Post It notes directly on the monitor/keyboard/desk/family picture frames/Yeti coffee cups and so on.

Back in the old days; folks would at least make SOME kind of effort (taped under the desk, to the bottom of the keyboard, in the middle desk drawer) but those times are long gone.

Remembering stuff is DIFFICULT!!!

Remembering passwords isn't difficult for me. It's impossible. I've got passwords for numerous websites, servers, database schemas, etc. that I use. A password safe/manager is mandatory these days.

We’ve went away from requiring regular password updates to requiring minimum 15 character pass phrases and 2 factor authentication so there’s not AS MUCH writing down of passwords.

Apple is moving away from passwords bc of all the breaches. FaceID and passkeys will be the wave of the future.
