I went to high school with Stephanie. This just blows my mind. I'm hoping they are okay, but it's confusing as hell. They are not on any of the official casualty lists and have not been heard from since the bombing. I'm sure the US State Department is looking through airport security footage to determine where they went, but how the hell do they just disappear?

Agreed, by now, surely they have accounted for all the injured and dead . . . so where are they? And why are their cell phones going directly to voice mail?

Some of their family members are family friends of ours, and it sounds like Stephanie and Justin were last seen in the immediate area of where the bombs exploded, adjacent to the ticket counters and security station. They're just hoping they got away from there before it went down. It really makes you feel sick thinking about it.

Can we get back to the topic? Is there still concern that bombs may be present? Can they not get to the places where the bombs went off? Or were these bombs so powerful nothing may be left of these poor souls?

Damn, I hate these Islamic fundamentalist p.o.s.

Just saw on FOX News that sadly, they are confirming the couple was killed in the attack. Prayers to them and their families.

I thought the news is reporting that a couple of US citizens were killed - not necessarily them. There is also a brother and sister from New York still missing

At least on FOX, they were saying it was the girl from KY and her husband. Plus the two from NY that are still missing. Seems like if any of them were still alive, we'd know by now.

Stephanie and Justin have NOT been confirmed killed. It was the brother and sister from New York that were confirmed dead.

I feel horribly for the mother. On one hand, what a horrible, horrible case of survivor's guilt. On the other hand, thank goodness she got to see them one last time. I just can't imagine how she feels.

They had asked her mother several times to come to Brussels to see them. She just did and they were dropping her off at the airport when this happened. They said goodbye to her at the security line and she started walking away and the bomb went off, killing both of them. I'm sure she'll forever feel they wouldn't have died if they hadn't been dropping her off at the airport.
