Already have tickets to the Gonzaga game in Nashville. Im from Tennessee not far from Nashville so ik a lot about things to do there.

I plan on getting tickets to a home game this December or January. Me and my two sons who are pretty young 8 and 9. Just wondering about things to do if we were to drive up there and make it more of a couple day type of trip while we are there.(Christmas trip)

So maybe somebody can give me a couple ideas of things to do. I’ve only been to Lexington one time the year we won the championship and it was against Arkansas ironically.
Lexington looked like a really clean rural type of city and a place I wouldn’t mind living. So any ideas from anybody?

I would like to check out the KSR bar thing I’m not sure if it’s kid friendly but my kids are extremely mature for their age and not the type to be running around bothering folks lol…just asking for things that may not pop up on google and something more popular and known to locals. Thanks!

I'm not trying to be a downer but with the way prices have gone up.... I think I'm just as content to watch sporting events in my recliner on my 70" big screen. The line to the bathroom isn't long, don't have to park a mile away, and don't have to wait in long lines for for over priced concessions.

I totally agree man I just have to show the boys Rupp one time. I have only been one time and want them to experience it before they get older. Maybe they get a glimpse of what sports can be like later on in life if they take it serious.

My Dad got me hooked from watching Tayshaun Prince and that whole group on those miniature tvs with the vhs player connected at the bottom. Screen was so blurry it almost looked black and white.

Been hooked ever since so I’m excited to let them experience something like Rupp. But after that it will be awhile before I go to a game. Your right it’s so expensive and everything else you said I would also rather just sit at home and watch the game from the comfort of my house.

Honestly I can’t even afford to go to this one but I’m gonna make it happen!

I’m originally from TN, now in LEX. Also have 8 year old (and 11). We seem to have a lot in common. Are you also 6’7 and built like Brian Urlacher?
Haha no I wish I was 6’7 and built like that😂…. More like 6’0 and normal Dad bod lol… you better get your butt out there on the football field and help them out. Somebody needs to get you Stoops number!

You can’t go to a UK game at Rupp for a couple hours without eating or going to the restroom?

Kentucky football can’t do this. Not me man, they used to call me Tank Magetti. Not sure what it meant but I’m still the all time high school sack leader in TN. Since you can’t verify it well just go with that.

No clue why people type stuff like this..

Are things expensive, yes. Does the general public suck to be in large crowds with, yes. But going to games is an awesome experience, especially when it's a big game and we get the win. Obviously, I love watching them from home for the convenience and the things you mentioned, but in person is exhilarating.

May I ask what part of Tennessee? West Tn? Because that Tank Magetti name sounds familiar unless that’s just a popular thing.

It’s worth it for the kids memories and the Cats.

I don’t understand why people that now sit at home and watch their TV try to convince others it’s for the best.
Retiring and sitting in front of the idiot box is usually a good way to a fast grave. I’m hitting The Champions Classic in New York, Seeing Times Square and the sights.
Also hitting Nashville again for Gonzaga and gonna hit the Town till dawn.
Stay at home???? Not me guys. I’m living all I can. YOLO.

So pretty close to me. Dyersburg area
Or Go Trojans! Hope you’re not a Choctaw

Looks like we might be the only ones that know about Darrel hiding bodies at Mickey D’s! Amirite?

Or Marry Castle burgers…...

old enough to know about Dominos being at the Bus Stop?

I’ve tried to explain Boyette’s many times but they never get it.

Never met someone else from that way! Cool.

I totally get it I took my boy and girls to a lot of games in Rupp when they were growing up and they loved it. It definitely is great experience for the kiddos too because when I was growing up we didn't have that kind of money to go to the games. I would enjoy that time with the kiddos there definitely isn't any where in America that I would rather watch a game that's for sure.

No but I’ve kicked a lot of *** in the Burg. Born and raised.

my ruts to my 85 Bronco still show in Tigrett bottoms..the chipotle sitting there now trips me out. Never saw that coming.

what’s your class?

we might know some of the same people but yea I have 11 years on ya. younger is better or so he said, but I do have one advantage. I loved the 90’s Pitino teams as a kid. I always say I think it’s why I’m so insanely demanding of this program. It’s all I knew coming up so that kind of sht is what I expect. We just have too much Calipari in us still. Never thought I’d hear a UK fan say nothing matters but March. Every game matters. I’m so glad that guy is outa here. Some got into parroting that sht. Think Pope is gonna set a different tone.

Glad to see another DBurg guy here. Doesn’t happen much. Everthang in Dryer Canny come out in da warsh, or so I hear 😃
