Riley will be mentioned on every new head coaching job next year. If he finds a replacement for Sterling Shepard I fear this will be his last year at OU.

I hated his game plan against Texas last year, but the players have to take some of the blame.

I just he holds out for a major coaching job and doesn't take a Tulsa or Houston job if offered. JMO

Yep, Bob got a raise as well and looking forward, he's tp get an automatic $200,000. annual raise up to 2021.

BTW, no way Riley goes to a Tulsa. Maybe Houston if Herman moves up.

Vote for Bernie then! Let the Gov pay his salary!
Actually the entire athletic department at OU is self sustaining and gives money back to the academic side of the university annually. It may go up 7% but it would of been 8-9% without the contributions from the athletic dept. Good coaches make for good teams. Good teams earn more money. Better to pay them to stay and keep making the university profitable. I believe OU is one of 6 athletic depts in the nation that takes zero outside funding and of the other 5 I don't know that any give back to the school. We have something pretty special everyone should be proud of.

Yep. that's true.
I don't know about recently, but around ten years ago every home game generated around 5 million in profit, after expenses.
Therefore, you'll never see any OU teams with nothing but the best. Coaches, equipment, et al.
