I believe starting 5 will be the same as the Iowa State scrimmage, with Buie, Audige, Berry, Beran, and Nance. Hopefully it will be a one sided affair in NU's favor and allow plentiful court time for most of the roster.

Lindenwood has some good athletes on roster including Karrington Davis, former highly touted Nebraska player that tore his achilles tendon his freshman year, transferred to SIU and showed flashes of old self at SIU before transferring to Lindenwood.

#1 curiosity - despite the quality of opponent, see the possible evolution of our players. Last time I was impressed was with Kopp 2 years ago

#2 - Starting 5. The other lineups, considering the game it is, probably means very little in terms of what we can expect in conference play

#3 - how much we use zone

This is … very bad. Audige can be an all-Big Ten guy at times and Young is Mr. Reliable. What gives with Audige? I see a comment above saying Young is in a boot.

Ok, so it wasn't just me. I get the "No supported formats for the given URL and MIME type" message and nothing on the FAQ is helpful.
My error is “Something went wrong with your payment. Error undefined: There has been a problem”.

I paid $15 so at least I get to see the University of Indianapolis put up a valiant effort against Purdue.

Tried killing app, cache, login again, nothing works

Chase is not in a boot and doesn’t appear to be limping at least. No sling or anything like that either.

Simmons had a tough start. 2 Fouls and out. Nance misses a couple.

Williams playing well and scoring.

Cats up 16-8 after falling behind 4-0.

Williams looks to be the best player so far. Tons of huddle and grit from him.

Kind of useless to talk about defense as the difference in height is so evident.

On offense, not fluid. While Lindenwood is small, they’re fairly fast and creating problems for the Cats.

It doesn't look like any of the returning Cats have made a big jump in performance in the off season.

Simmons is really raw.

Can't get excited about NU's prospects for the year based on what we've seen so far. Of course they're missing 2 key players.......

I feel the same way. But it’s an exhibition game. Fingers crossed.

Williams seems like a guy who can help. At least that.

Can’t understand Greer playing alongside Buie for so long.

Williams and Roper look like they will be great additions. Greer will be a solid contributor this year. Berry is improved.

Agree about Williams. Looks solid.

Roper might be OK. Definitely looks the part of a B1G Guard, nice stroke on the made 3, not so nice on the missed deuce.

If Beran could a wide open shot, we’d be up about 30. As it stands, nice D and up 18 without two important guys.

Williams is a nice piece, a type of player that good teams often have.

Nicholson looks…well there’s a reason he doesn’t play much.

Joined the BTN+ broadcast with about 13 mins to go.
- Defense looks very good, nice rotation and help. Good hands to grab turnovers or blocks. Nance and Elyjah especially look good at team defense.
- Offense struggling. Shouldn't be this hard to score. Outside of FTs not many points. I like that we are attacking the basket but jeez we need to put the ball in the bucket. It'll be much harder against B1G competition. Hopefully it opens up in the 2H.
- Elyjah Williams has impressed me most thus far - nice all around player - plays team defense, rebounds, can handle the ball, can pass. Like the addition.
- Nance playing well in most aspects of the games just want him to score more points / make more shots
- Beran playing okay but not making anything right now. Tre commented how Collins is telling him to keep shooting... don't want the missed shots to feed into another confidence problem.
- Berry and Boo both looking decent overall but want them to score more against this type of opponent. Hopefully Berry can find his FT stroke.
- Barnhizer and Roper looked slightly promising to me in limited action. Simmons looks really thin but is a quick athletic defender at least.
- Greer kind of the same as usual. Good defender and responsible on offense.

Overall headline is that was a strong half of defense and a sad half of offense. Let's score more in 2H.

PS Tre Demps is not bad as a color commentator. Nice to hear his voice. Would like him to give more honest feedback on things guys could do better rather than being primarily complimentary... I'm sure he has some thoughts.

And get rid of the "uh's"

So Nicholson is not the answer at center. He can’t finish at the rim.
Williams is going to be fun to watch. I’m on of hustle and a good skill set.
I also like what I saw from Brooks and Roper, but hard to tell with this competition.

I was wrong about returning players. Berry looks much stronger and more confident, he seems to have really advanced in the off season. He had a rough deal last year losing his Father.. We'll see against a real opponent on Tuesday.

Barnhizer and Roper are a lot more ready than the freshmen we usually have. Might not make much of a difference this year, but encouraging for the future. They look like they can ball.

Buie seemed a lot more in a “let the game come to you” mode. But truth is often in conference play there are times when nothing is happening and you have to force the issue.

Williams is a mature dude. He knows what he can and cannot do. Excited on what he can help with and mostly how he can affect others. Know your role and all.

Other than that, it’s an exhibition game against iffy competition. We steam rolled Chicago State last year putting 100+ on the board. At times this second half reminded me of that. Fast pace, plenty of substitutions to keep playing fast, putting pressure on defense… but in conference play you run into a lot more walls. You can keep rotating a lot, and ultimately finding no one that can get you out of slumps.

Nothing to make me believe we can survive in conference play depending on a lot of minutes from Beran. Today, not much of a choice.

Nicholson showed at least one thing, dude has a man’s body now. I sense if his confidence was there he could contribute.

Why can't we be more positive about this te

Williams can also handle the ball and is good enough of a shooter to warrant being watched at the perimeter. He will be a plus this year.

Agreed. That was a different Berry in a good way. He was aggressive and had a good handle.

Haha, I liked how he grew into the game a bit towards the end. Not sure if nerves subsided or they ran him in more comfortable sets, but he looked ok. Still kinda like a kid who doesn’t know his own body. I do think he showed that he can get there, though. But for this year, we need Young.
