So seems TU just picked up the potential game changing LB we were all clamoring for. Khari Harding is transferring to TU (from Auburn) for family reasons. Was #3 overall player in Oklahoma coming out of HS. WOOT WOOT!

Good player. Rivals had him as the #11 player in the state for the 2013 class btw. The #3 player was some dude named Rob Boyd.

Hardings transfer is good news. If there is one position we currently need, it would be LB. He immediately provides quality and depth at its LB. The question I have is now is how he will fit into the new system. What defense will we play and will he fit into that mold. This is always a key factor in determining how successful a kid will be!

Chris reported a while back that TU will be installing a 4-2-5 under Bill Young. I think hybrid LB/Safety/Bandit types will excel in this type of defense.

He didn't see a lot of snaps at Auburn (which wasn't actually a great defense last year) so I would be hesitant to say he's a game changer. That said, he probably will add a lot of athletism to the position. I would love to see us bring in a JUCO All-American LB who can play right away. Add a CB or two as well.....

I share the same initial thoughts. I know he started off as a safety there and switched to a LB but still would of liked to see him play a little more than he did. Im not sure you need a JUCO All American to make an immediate impact but a couple of quality JUCO guys infused into this years class would work wonders.
