It may take some time learning the assignments & alignment, but I think we have a complete upgrade in athletic skill sets at LB. I hope to be pleasantly surprised at LB play.

I'm looking forward seeing Tay Evans step up. He was a huge recruit in his day. I hope he can fill the void Dom left. If not, watch your back, we have some good ones coming up. Kish has knocked the ball out of the park the last couple of years.

Yep, anymore bashing of Tim Kish is unwarranted...and you're gonna hear from me about that thing.
Look, here's the deal, if someone isn't carrying their load, Stoops will fire them.
He's dumped a Natty champ quarterback, in light of that, no one isn't expendable.

I want to see the recruits bear fruit and become players before I sign off on that one.

Yes, WNAS, my original post was about a 5* and 4* making the transition. We never know how they will wind up on the field, but Kish did his job getting them here.

Same here. I wouldn't exactly sign off on this just yet either. I think those were the only 2 LBs signed that class, and DeBerry was mainly recruited by Monty if I remember correctly. Leaving really only McGinnis as Kish's crowning achievement, and I believe his sole recruit that class. That said though, he stepped it up in the 2016 class, so let's hope that is a good sign for the future.

JCon, don't forget that at least in Caleb Kelly's recruitment, that Chip Viney played a HUGE role is getting him to OU. Not sure how much involvement Viney had with the others on your list, but I'm sure he's had a big impact since his reputation for being a strong recruiter has been well documented.

Tay is a great kid, grew up with my son and has helped me moved several times, He has the work ethic and desire to improve. He will only get better as a player. His younger brother Bobby should also see some playing time as an OL.

coe, you are such a great poster. I really enjoy your incite in the coaches world. My nephew used to coach football at a major Texas high School and gave me tons of info on recruiting and such. He became a soccer coach. Pipeline ended..................HA!
