If it's normalized, it's no longer sexual deviancy ... hence the term. Which acts/actions are you considering "deviant" in this claim, since "sexual deviance" can be an umbrella term for all sorts of actions - some very legal and benign, and some awful and illegal.
Rape, sex with underage minors, other sexual assaults. Clear enough?

True.

But writing a letter to the editor vs some of the extreme behavior that I have witnessed (and I mean EXTREME - harassment , violence, sexual assault ) - in Cologne, for example, are night and day.

If you think they are even close to equivalent, suggest you read up and maybe experience some of this first hand. Western values should not be taken for granted.
And Cologne is a very live and let live city....

And strict gun laws

Will you become "ParisDave" or keep the same moniker?

Shalom.

PS: Live your dream. Your son will adjust I'm certain.
He is a man now and the growing up stuff is over. He will handle it. As it is he lives in another city and all his friends and his in laws are there. He can come visit us and with modern communication there will not be much difference in our communication. My daughter understands this. She is going back to Cali to begin her next chapter in life and welcomes an excuse to get more frequent flyer miles.

I dont want to be morbid about this, but I know I do not have lots of years left. I have been a pretty good father and the kids are adults now. My wife gets this and she supports me.
