I can't get too excited about portal guys until they are on campus. I just assume no one is committed till they physically show up.

Edit: I guess it was a joke or sarcasm. I see teo LBs on the current tracker, both listed as 3 stars. Or do they get new rankings in the portal?

I think the grab bag is an apt analogy. You (the player) never really know what's in the bag until you get it home. In many cases, I think these kids are grabbing at ephemeral promises that never quite live up to the expectations.

Yes there is a transfer ranking system as well. Which in most cases might be a better ranking than high school. Give me an evaluation of what they did at the college level over high school any day.

Well, some of that has been reported. But counteroffers are happening also.

Yeah, let me know when they are in pads practicing and look like they're going to be on the field contributing then I'll start taking notice, until then I'm not getting excited, even then they could walk at any time, so why should I waste my time! They got what they wanted, they're getting compensated, but to me they lost what used to be some of the fun hype and fan loyalty.
