Looks like Bob picked up some tips from Mark.

did look reminiscent of our games... quick start. look to the better team and then just get crushed the last half of the game. that first quarter looked liked ou was gonna be in the title and be a handful for whoever they got and then the whole thing just flipped.

This is why I'm not a big fan of the air raid. The running game was non existent. Have to have some balance

OU was #16 nationally in rushing at 235 YPG. Got 67 yards today. They were held to 378 yards of offense, just a bit under their 542 YPG average. On the year they were a 56/44 run/pass offense. Sounds pretty balanced to me. Unless maybe they ran the ball too much. [winking]

They were just totally D-ed up today.

Peace

you guys look for any chance to take a cheap shot? Clemson was the superior team. To suggest that Oklahoma played terribly does a disservice to the domination in the second half by the Tigers, akin to the total domination of State by Bama.

May be wrong but I think Alabama will dominate Clemson. Guess we'll just have to see it play out.

All about matchups...think Clemson is build to defend spread teams. Really good speed on defense... Think clemson hangs with bama till the 3rd-4th quarter.thats where bama will pull away and run the ball at will...
This is where air raid hurts you if you cant consistently run the ball...

Saban and Alabama have been bad against spread teams with a dynamic running QB. Hopefully that continues.

Bob's problem is that his team plays in a conference where defense is optional and is rarely played. In the past 10 years, his team has been in a national title game twice and this year's semi-final. Those teams averaged scoring 50, 52, and 48 points-per-game during the season, but were held to 14 by USC and Florida, then 17 by Clemson. Those numbers speak for themselves.

Except Clemson doesn't run the air raid? They do consistently run the ball...they have two 1,000 yard rushers...
