even with an uptempo offense, i doubt we give up 80+ eleven times like last season. it appears pope has answered this issue resoundingly.

At least on paper. Will have to see how we do. Need JQ to heal up well and quickly. He's a huge defensive piece.
If our offense is even close to how good it was last season, our opponents are in trouble.
We have a ton of length. Even if JQ isn’t back immediately (I believe he’s back by conference play, if not game 1), we still can play a lot of really dynamic, long, athletic, lineups
We definitely upgraded physicality and athleticism.
I think we might take a slight step back here unless Perry and Noah become lights out shooters. Oweh and Lowe ill be good drivers. Just don't know where our "Brea" comes from.
Man, wish Almonor had one year left. That was a versicle dude who, while not lights out, could hit a 3 here and there to keep you honest.

I think Williams could be our Brea this season. Shot 41% on 153 threes as a Freshman.
But Williams is also a lockdown defender, so it could be like getting a poor man’s Brea on offense, and a poor man’s Butler on defense, rolled into one.
Now I know he is just a Sophomore and will not be as good as Brea or Butler either one, but the fact that he can shoot and play defense has me excited for him.
He’s getting overlooked by everybody, I think because he was the first portal commit. He is rated higher by the top portal recruiting services (247 and On3) than Aberdeen.
I think Aberdeen will play more because of his experience, but this guy is for real and isn’t getting the respect he probably should.
A lineup of Quaintance/Mo D would be some lockdown defense with their ability to switch 1-5, along with JQ's elite rim protection/shot blocking.
