Best of luck. I think we all knew that he had good arm. Never got the chance to do anything here but expectations were through roof, compared to Uconn. Probably a good spot for him

“He is one of the best throwers of the football purely that I have been around,” UConn offensive coordinator Nick Charlton told the Journal Inquirer. “But in terms of understanding the game, (he needs to know) when to eat it when the play isn’t there.”

He deserves a ton of adulation for his interview post Iowa. He'll never get the credit he deserves, but he was conciliatory, upbeat, mature and made 0 execuses after basically embarrassing himself in front of millions. Sad to see him be the fall man for adults all too happy to make excuses. He wasn't ready and that wasn't on him.

He will prepare as the #1 QB, so he's got that going for him, but also he will not face the deafening roar from the crowd in Storrs or anywhere they play as he did in Iowa. Not being able to get off a play in that situation caused his problems as much as his apparent lack of being properly prepared.
I recall we had some hope for him after his solid performance vs Ball State early in the season.
But in any event, best of luck to TR.

Except for Hack, every QB in the current scheme has been injured to some extent. Possibly Levis did not lose time to injury. Clearly McSorley and Clifford have had serious injuries that impacted the team's effectiveness as they still played hurt. Even in games like Iowa where Stevens came in for injured McSorley was only temporary - as Trace came back at maybe 50% best case. It is key for us to have at least 1-2 backups who can come in and play with normal playbook. TR did not look like he had been prepared to do that. It will be interesting to see how we handle this year if SC gets his normal injuries. Do you play him hurt when clearly the other players all may be better than an injured starter who cannot throw or run?

It would be nice to have an O-line that can keep a QB upright.
