You never know when you're about to see a generational type of player. For instance, we all thought AD would be good but did we'd think he'd have the most acclaimed season ever? I'm hoping to see something remarkable outta Terrence or BJ.

What State is still forcing businesses to stay closed? We are all open down here.

Do you guys really thing this season is going to happen? Think about it. More than likely we are going to see multiple cases where players turn up positive. Won't the entire team then be forced to quarantine for 2 weeks? How is this going to work?

I've heard the argument that the black community feels threatened every day anyway so Corona virus is no different. I disagree in the same way I did with the reopen protests. Keep your distance and wear a mask people.

It was alluded to by a group of protesters in Atlanta that they felt the police were a threat.

That's an important assertion and it should be objectively evaluated. The rational approach is to look at the facts and understand the issue. I don't see that happening. The liberal MSM is controlling the narrative, inciting hysteria, and tearing the country apart. Just for political power, IMO, and that is despicable.

We might start by looking at the cases of police killing black people.

We can dig deeper in fact discovery to fully understand and remedy the situation.

I'll grant you the media perpetuates many things and certainly has biases, but to link an opinion show on the right wing equivalent isn't going to move the needle in regards to changing opinions.

As an example, tucker points out that there were nearly 100 more cases of shootings involving police officers and white people compared to black people. What he didn't say was that blacks make up about 1/3 of the population that whites do and, according to the same research, are 3 time more likely to be shot. That's context that is important.

Now, as tucker points out, each case is unique, but you can see why (on the surface) people get upset when dylann roof is apprehended without a scratch on him but David Logan was beaten with flash lights to the point that his eye swelled shut over a broken tail light. These things are not commensurate.

This is exactly the case. I saw 500 shoulder to shoulder screaming emitting saliva and not a peep from Andy. I know he is terrified and he is too scared to make tough decisions. If he thinks he can just pretend it’s not happening well it’s on you kentuckians to let him know it is not. But if you own a bar simply hoist a black lives matter flag and if the cops shut u down just chant no justice no peace and burn their car. Andy’s spine bends alot

Bingo. It's never going to happen, just forget about it. This will be a continuing, but contrived, issue for years & years to come. Organized sports is finished.

I'm open to all data available. As I said, this must be objectively analyzed. Just throwing out a few agenda driven cherry picked examples is fruitless. Also, there should be objective analysis of any differences in crime rate within the black community vs others (since we're forced to divide the issue by race, which I hope we can eventually get passed).

A lot of the research I have seen is either panned because of perceived bias or a lack of confirmation bias. We can't think logically anymore because it has to align with our identity which is, for some God awful reason, completely informed by our politics.

I believe the data shows that it is an issue that deserves time and attention. Helping solve poverty would go a long way to resolving the tension. I, too, hope we can all learn from this, but it seems unlikely.

The poverty issue is a good point. Dependency on the liberal welfare state seems to be a major contributing factor, IMO. Byproducts may be the breakdown of the family unit, drugs, gangs, criminal behavior, etc.

I think this Thomas Sowell video offers a good introduction to this potential issue.

Looters in mass?

Did they destroy the altar? Break any stained glass windows? Why didn't the parishioners do something to stop them?

Interesting that the government can deny our rights to work and earn a living, or go to church, or get a haircut, or go to a gym, but they encourage 100's congregate and walk side by side and riot and loot. This tells you this is all about politics, and not a damn thing to do with black lives matter.
