Nothing about the Michigan case and UL case is similar. You, like the fools who previously tried to argue the same thing, want to completely gloss over the immorality of providing prostitutes to underage recruits. To equate that with improper cash benefits or sign stealing is to ignore the reality of the situation.

Also appears you concede there is no legal basis for a court to order the title to be reinstated.
Please. None of the ”immorality“ nonsense. Lying and cheating (UNC, Michigan) is as biblically immoral.

You can’t stand UofL. I understand.

Stop.

You detest UofL. I get it.

Michigan’s cheating gained them far more of a competitive advantage than UofL with hookers that didn’t affect recruiting whatsoever.

UNC got away with fake classes for crying out loud. Which was the more egregious ”impermissible benefit?”

My point is that UofL has a very solid legal case at the civil level.
Solid legal case? Really?

What contracts or agreements were violated? What trust was shattered? What was handled in an arbitrary and capricious manner? The bar here is set at preponderance of evidence. I dont see a case. I don’t see standing. I will tell who else doesn't see those things. UL, Rick Pitino nor that thing they tried to call an AD.

Being stripped of that title was a financial loss. A humiliation. It was profoundly degrading. And UL bent by over and took it. Why? They have no case. Getreal.

Still waiting for you to provide the legal basis for a court to overturn sanctions levied against a member institution which were based on agreed upon rules and procedures that the member institution unquestionably violated.

Maybe I'd feel differently if the removing of wins was done in a fair and consistent manner...but that has NEVER been the case. It's always just been a matter of who the NCAA wants to screw and UK has never been one of the favorite sons.
UK became a pain to the NCAA when Adolph Rupp came to UK and started playing a national schedule. Before that, teams tended to play regional schedules and there were big differences in the way games were officiated. A game in Madison Square Garden when UK was led by Leroy "Cowboy" Edwards brought things to a head and led to rule changes and forced the NCAA to make different areas of the country officiate in the same manner. This was the start of the problems UK has had with the NCAA.

I really hate Louisville, Duke, Tenn, unc, and Kansas. Not in that order but I hate em for different reasons. Indiana just sucks. I hate Louisville. I hate Pat Kelsey’s face and glasses. Seems like a good guy though. But I hate Louisville.

How much advantage did they really get on the basketball court from offering recruits unattractive prostitutes?

I’m not saying it wasn’t a nasty and immoral thing to do, or that they weren’t dirty for doing it, or that they shouldn’t be punished. And I honestly don’t know whether Rick was involved with it but if he was that’s definitely a horrible stain on his past (there but for the grace of God go I).

But what I am saying is, blowing up over petty stuff looks weak. If you beat me at basketball and I say it doesn’t count because your hair color distracted me, I look very weak.

Cut-rate ho patronage is not petty morally.

But it’s pretty freaking petty basketballwise if you ask me.

Were there really key contributors on that ‘13 title team who only signed with UL because UL hazed them with ugly hookers? Really?

Those kids were basketball stars at their local high schools. But the girl action from being a high school basketball star paled in comparison to those not particularly BMI-healthy Louisville prostitutes, so much so that the kids felt they just had to go there for school?

Anything’s possible.

But I’m kind of a tough sell in that department.

To me it always looked kind of sissy to take that title away. To me the manly thing would have been have been to say you won but we’re shutting your damn program down for contributing to the delinquency of minors.
Prostitutes for under age kids. Think about that for a second.

F UL and hope they never get the title back.

I agree with others that UNC and Michigan were given relative slaps on the wrist by comparison. Ncaa is inconsistent.

Some trying to compare stealing signs to providing prostitutes to minors is a wild take. That’s our society, though.

UofL was doing anything to get ahead then. Jurich sure didn’t care and neither did Ramsey. That place was a complete cesspool.
Leaving off a name. People like to forget that Pitino was complicit also.

My big peeve is when UL fans describe it as "strippers". Was a whole lot more than that. Never forget.

I don't really believe in "vacating" wins or titles. We should all start ignoring the NCAAs nonsense ethical finger wagging. If you win a game on the court, then you get that win. Put an asterisk next to it if you want, but the game was played and someone won.

Vacating wins and titles is the ultimate punishment. They can’t stand it years later and that’s why they’re protesting.
