I watched it and liked it. That said, it does have problems. The writing is not great, and the acting is hit or miss. My wife watched the first episode with me and decided that was enough for her. I will say it gets better as the season goes along, but I liked it because I like sci-fi, and visually, it's stunning. I can get past some plot holes if something is entertaining.

Already been renewed for season 2 I heard.

So Judy is now black and Dr. Smith is a chick. Sounds like they took a reboot idea from the female Ghostbusters.

I saw an article the other day where people on social media were saying the Robot on the new show was sexy. Are people insane or what?

This Dr Smith is way more unlikeable than the other one was. By the way I noticed your username is DSmith...you are not Dr Smith are you? haha

The eccentric closeted gay was comedy gold for that show. I guess you can't portray someone like that anymore.

No, D is for David not doctor.

Show of hands, who else is hoping for a Judy/chick Dr. Smith interracial lesbo scene?

The Dr. Smith character is hard to understand. Sometimes the story lines and her conduct make her seem insane, not evil. She'll do something irrational, as if she has a mental illness and cannot control her actions. Sometimes. And other times she is just plain evil. Hard to tell which way the character is supposed to be seen.

Any lesbian tendencies that you’ve picked up on?

The father on this one is pretty much a dolt who gets one-upped by mom and the kids several times every episode.

Predictable show. The plot is something that would be on basic cable. Similar to how The 100 was pretty predictable. However, it was entertaining enough to keep hitting “next episode”. Prlly middle of the pack as far as Netflix shows go, that I have seen.

Better than any of that "reality" TV crap that is on.
Other than that I'll give it a thumbs up, but only just barely.
A Lot of plot holes to overcome, hoping for a better season 2.

Dr. Smith is insane, she bounces too much from just plain evil to a completely self centered B@tch.
I'm sure there's a better psychobabble term for it, but insane. That works for me.

Hold on. What is “Nextlix”? Sounds like a porn streaming service.

Did anyone notice who the actual Dr. Smith was on the reboot before the female character took his place?

I haven't watched it but I've been thinking about it.

Looks like you fellows like it.

I like sci-fi and I've liked Parker Posey (Dr. Smith) since I first saw her in Dazed and Confused.

I'll check it out.

I will check it out for that reason. I even liked her in Best in Show. She has stiff competition in the franchise hottest contest going up against the armored boobies of Mimi Rogers. (from the movie)

I loved it. I'll take middle of the road science fiction over a 4 star romance or drama.

I finished it last night.

I like it and I think it has potential to be much better in season 2.

Wife caught it, but he was just a red shirt to me, so I didn't even look at him. I watched 3 episodes, and better than 90% of whats on regular tv. I don't watch the Benniton ads that pass for tv these days.

After recently buying a big screen 4KHDTV and having my son talk me into a 4K Apple TV, I purchased the entire original series (3 seasons) from iTunes. While rewatching it and re-living old childhood memories, yes I'm old, I heard of this re-boot so I flipped on Netflix and started watching. Watched the whole thing in 2 evenings and can't wait for season 2. Like you bigdaddy741, I really liked PP in Dazed and Confused.

Just watched all of Season 1 over the course of this week,

Overalt, Id give it a B-

Thought it was glacially slow paced in the beginning, but convinced myself to trudge through it and got more interesting as it went along.

Parker Posey was an unusual but in the end effective choice for Dr Smith.

Did catch the Billy Mumy cameo.

A minor thing that caught my eye....turning the "Debbie" character from an alien monkey on the series and movie to a chicken and pairing her with Don.....strange.

Also recently watched season 1 of Star Trek Discovery and thought that was lightyears better than Lost In Space.
