Taco Luchador Bardstown Road. Try the Desayono Sandwich (bacon, chorizo, smoked ham and a fried egg). Its mind-blowingly good.

Should be fine...great burger. Hitting the great restaurants at lunch is always a wodie move.

DSmith is a known simpleton, but Taco Luchador is indeed unreal.

-Nam Nam Café is another favorite I don't get to near enough. Bahn Mi

If you like Bahn Mi, you might try Four Sisters Cafe on Frankfort Ave (next to Basa). Nice coffee house. Also great crepes. Simple menu for simple people.

Been meaning to get there forever...

Most of my Bahn Mi'ing is done in the Dirty. Pho Binh Mi & Da Lat's Gateaux both have great ones..

RIP Bahn Mi hero, btw...although I do think he still plans to offer a few at the new concept that went in there.

Also, Epic Sammich Co (Staggers & Rumplings crew) apparently opened today in the Rumplings spot.

Anything Fernando does is awesome.

Louisville is soon to have 3 Nashville Hot Chicken junts.

...and there is a Burger/Beer spot opening in the Highlands that will use Pat LaFrieda beef, which is a first around here.

Pretty impossible to keep up these days...my 'try' list is a mile long.

You can try some of that hot chicken already at Manny & Merle's (owned by Tony Palumbo). He is going to convert one of his Tony Bomboz pizza parlors (on Frankfort Ave.) just to sell that same hot chicken.

The Frankfort Ave. Tony Boomboz will change its name to Joella and become a Nashville hot chicken joint. Another is going to be in the building behind Bistro 1860 where Brownsboro Road ends as you head towards downtown. A third was supposed to go in where Oldenberg Brewery and The Tilted Kilt were located on Breckenridge Lane but that deal fell apart. There my be others.

There have been talks to put a Rooster's in McMahon Plaza in Hikes Point. Pass it on.
