More than willing to look past non-ethical personality flaws if it produces wins.
VERY smart individual...WSU finished 9-4 last season beating oregon, arizona and ucla on the road and only lost to top 10 Stanford@home by 2...Lost badly to UW 45-10 losing their qb (so who will return this yr) very early in the game, but bounced back to beat the U in the Sun bowl...took over a program in as bad of shape as MS inherited.

That was at tech, but turned out to be bogus I think.

yea it was the son of then ESPN announcer Craig James. He allegedly made the kid sit in a box for 2 hours or some ridiculous thing like that. Big kerfuffle and a "he said, he said" thing. TT elected to avoid bad publicity and jetisoned Leach

Yep, you got it right. And, I'd take Leach in a nano second. Who gives a rip if he has a personality of a grape. He wins football games, we're not talking about putting a fruit salad together!!!

Most fans here will tell you the Air Raid can't win in the SEC :chairshot:

"I'll be your huckleberry." I wouldn't trade a multiple, balanced offense for Mike Leach and the Air Raid. Using that system in the SEC is like wearing short pants in a long pants crowd.

Back to people clamoring for leach again. He won more games last season than his entire tenure at WSU. So he's suddenly a genius again.

Proving once again even a genius has to have time to get his system in and get the right talent to run it. Three years doesn't get it done, especially if it takes a while to get your staff together.

The last thing UK needs is another HC learning on the job. And don't even tell me about Jimbo Fisher and his HCIW business because we tried that with Joker and it failed.

I really like Gran as well! College football is an offensive game. The rules give a big advantage to the offense.
It's getting to the point that the 14-7 game is a rarity anymore - it's usually 34-24
If we can get the offense to click, and I now feel we have the coach AND the talent to do just that, all a team needs is a defense that can force a few punts and maybe a timely turnover or two.
THAT is our recipe at UK to winning games
If Gran was our OC last year - I firmly believe we win at least 2 more game

WSU fb program was in as bad or worse shape than UK was when he took over there and they have been to two bowl games in four yrs with last yr being his best there, but you need to check his record at TTech...think they went to like 11 straight games...only clamoring for ML if MS isn't successful...don't want another ojt coach, but one who has had success as a HC

If Stoops left I'd hate to lose Gran. If Stoops fails, I don't believe it will be because of Gran's OC skills. When Gran speaks everyone around him listens. I'm not saying he's a good candidate for an SEC HC position right now, but the next HC would be smart to keep him on board.
