I always felt like our offense was handcuffed by dumb play calling. Gran is a huge improvement. And our QBs will benefit from having Hinshaw on board as well. Gotta give Stoops credit, hes not affraid to make changes. Great hires.
I've heard some negativity but this hire is a home run in my book. Experienced productictive and familiar with stoops. Plus recruits areas we succeed in.

i wish we'd of done this last year but i think it'll be a homerun hire by the '17 season. still dont know if we have the o-line to score over 30 next year but it should be a pretty darn good line by '17 and then all the pieces should be there if gran is as good as i think he is.

I've been highly critical of Stoops and staff since the EKU game but I have to give props on this one. I really wanted Hinshaw when Stoops was hired. We desperately needed a QB coach and we got an excellent one that can recruit to boot. Cheers!

I have been critical since that game myself. The offense was one of my biggest complaints and I think stoops has resolved that issue with hiring Gran and Hindshaw. The defense was left in bad situations in several games this season because our offense couldn't get anything going. With all of the three and outs with turnovers mixed in their, the defense wouldn't get much time to rest. We were not deep enough to handle that.

Wonder why he didnt do this last year. These guys would have done well with our talent and especially the schedule this year. Glad they are on board.

I'm ok with anyone who can have the offense play a complete game... I like that grab brings tons of experience though

You know what is sort of funny here is that Gran actually had better credentials than Stoops when you look at each of their individual resume's. Gran was the Assistant Head Coach at FSU and Stoops was the DC. Help me on this guys am I reading this wrong. Regardless I'm in love with this hire and who he is bringing along with him. Now if we can just hold this class together that will be a good winter.

Timing and fit. Last year we had one opening. OC/QB Coach. Gran was-is an OC/RB Coach or a OC/WR Coach. Not a fit. Hinshaw was-is a QB or RB Coach. Again, not a fit at that time.

The better question would be what transpired to keep Gran and Hinshaw from the staff in Stoops first year.

Do you think Tubber could recruit like Stoops has to Kentucky? Gran is going to have some talent to work with when he gets here.
Does not matter if you recruit 3 and 4 star talent if the results are the same as having 2 and 3 star talent. I was only joking about Tubberville but one thing is for sure he is a proven coach.
