Most excellent.
The early reports on Jaland Lowe‘s shoulder injury have been optimistic thus far.

Larry Vaught of Vaughts’ Views reported Sunday morning that the MRI on Lowe’s shoulder came back negative. Lowe, Kentucky’s starting point guard, went down with an injury during Friday’s Blue-White Game after getting tangled up with Otega Oweh. The Pittsburgh transfer laid on the floor for a moment before being helped off the court. He was heard telling the training staff “it popped out”.

“From what sources told me, the MRI on Lowe’s shoulder was negative,’ Vaught wrote. “He had been fine since suffering a fall in June and apparently there’s a chance this could have been related to that fall about four months ago.”

Wooo Bass Pro, we got rid of Mozeliak, Stoops and Marmol next, followed by Barnhart, and the MRI came back negative!

I want it all same day!

Eventually our injury problem here has to subside. Looking around, it’s uncommon to happen at the rate it has here. I’m almost to the point where I don’t want them picking up a ball until January and let the chips fall.

Pretty concerning if it was an injury 4 months ago and is still causing problems. Doesn't make me feel good that this won't recur in the future.

Someone from KSR suggested one of the off-season issues was how injury-prone Lowe has been. I hope that doesn’t bite us in the rear. For now, I’m just happy it isn’t worse news.

I couldn’t even tell how he did it. Didn’t look like he hit it.

I think it had to do with the way he initially pushed-off Oweh and then Oweh quickly shoved his arm away. 2 physical moments back to back and if he's had any shoulder issue in the past that would play a part. At least that's my experience.

Bro I’ve had the same thing for over 30 years. Once it’s hurt, it’s hurt. The good thing is it is over quick. Hurts like hell in the moment and then 15 minutes later it’s pretty good to go.

Wasn’t a recurring shoulder injury what turned Lamont Butler into a shadow of his former self last Spring?

I love this system otherwise. But. Whatever we’re doing to our point guards’ shoulders. Maybe let’s not do that anymore. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Interesting. It was Spring 2025 semester of basketball was my point.

But now you've piqued my curiousity. If I had actually been wrong and I had meant only the March injury that happened during Spring weather, would that change the relevance of the Butler point guard shoulder injury to the Lowe point guard shoulder injury, in your eyes?

How so?

Man. Thus is bs. Already starting this year. And yeah. I keep thinking of Butler last year and how it lingered and how he was never the same. Man this isn’t what I even wanna think about. But let’s hope it goes different and he comes back 100% with no lingering effects. And If he’s back by game 1 or 2 and 100%, back to what he was then we’re as good as anybody and dodged a bullet.
