Just thinking about random things I guess. But I believe one man whose name I haven't heard who would kill it at LSU is Mike Gundy. He's done a great job at what is hardly a blue blood program. He runs a modern offense, unlike Les Miles. And he's a man, he's 49.

If LSU beats Florida and A&M, the coach is already in place, Coach O will be the man, if he's not already. The players and fan base love the guy.

Gundy has been mentioned to LSU if they can't get Fischer or Herman.... Gundy was in the next group if they strike out on there first two targets

It would always have been surprising to me if they were to keep Orgeron. You fire Les Miles to hire a coach who has barely won 40% of his games as a head man? Hard for me to see that.

Yeah, they definitely didn't want to keep coach O. They got there easy out today. But if you fire Miles, you gotta go splashier than coach O to appease the fan base and boosters

In the end, he's the guy that never won more than four games at Ole Miss.

I could see Hermann choosing all that adoration of the entire state of Louisiana over a bunch of millionaires who all think they're the head man in charge at Texas.

The guy is dirty and has been repeatedly. He's a great recruiter and found ways to buy players better than anyone. Of course, he's been caught several times. Generally, he delivers and schools take a chance his methods won't come back to haunt him.

Begins and ends with Jimbo Fischer.

Lateral move at best.

No one is overtaking Saban and Alabama as long as that man wants to coach. LSU fans have always had Bama envy and watching a coach they had who took them to the heights of a national championship do what he's done at Bama has only made it worse.

If they beat a really good aggie team and win their bowl game Big Bayou Ed will have a strong case, but they will have to do exactly that or Tigers will move on and swing for the fences.

If Ed is not offered the gig or retained by the next HC, Mitch and Joe Craft need to authorize a blank check and offer him highest paid DC in the land.

That guy has got some good back swamp voodoo juju magic about him.

And, that is the issue with Mr. Orgeron.
