Nebraska where fans believe any coach will jump ship to work here. Laughing
You know I could come back with some snarky remark too, but I am not gonna go there.

The way I see it is Aranda got hired by Les Miles, and has no ties to Ed Orgeron. Do I think we will get Aranda, no. Is it asinine to think he would coach at Nebraska, no. There is the right opportunity for everyone, and I know quite a few people that would choose Nebraska over LSU. Not everyone lives and breathes the SEC like you reference in your comment.

Name 5 high level defensive coaches that "you know", hell or even don't know, that would choose the current situation in Lincoln over the current situation in Baton Rouge.

Aranda just signed a new 3 year deal with LSU after they hired Orgeron. $1.8 mil to start, escalating to $1.9 mil. With a 15% of the remaining contract as a buyout.

Seriously... There is no answer to that, because I am not them. It's more asinine to claim that you know they won't for sure

You claimed you knew "quite a few people that would choose Nebraska over LSU". I asked you to name just 5.

Believing a coach making $1.8 mil a year, with a popular new head coach. Can expect job security for at least 3 years is more asinine than same coach leaving job above, for a program that has only 1 member of its original defensive staff after 2 seasons, fired 2 of those, another took a pay cut to leave?

I don't think you know the definition of asinine.

Asinine definition: 1. Tuco Salamanca posts on husker message board. 2. Claims to know everything about all in the world of football

Oddly enough it is similar to this

Pessimist definition: 1. One who has nothing positive to bring to a conversation 2. Tuco Salamanca posts on husker message board.

Where did I say or reference the SEC? Just get amused that guys throw out any and all names as if they will come here. Miles, Aranda, Venables are some that have been thrown out by our fans.

I prefer to be called a realist.

It isn't quite the same as a person who believes they know all in the world of football.

Of course I didn't claim "to know quite a few people who would choose Nebraska over LSU" then when asked to produce just a few of those people, changed the subject.

Ummm you posted your comment under my post... Is that a good enough reference point?

In fairness, there was mention of Pelini, Cosgrove, etc as well. It's a message board so shouldn't most posters input on any possible DC's be considered for what it really is, garbage?

I agree but we can also be realistic with names rather than throwing out just any name.
