Of all the players over past 10 years, Luke is the one I wanted to return the most. My kids learned so much by watching this outstanding player.

He could've had his jersey in the rafters. Loved watching him play. Like JJ, I expected every 3 pointer he took to go in.

One of my favorite players since Scheyer. Such a great young man.
I think he will be successful in the NBA.

congrats to luke - he had an awesome season

but thats 7 people gone so far - i've only been a fan since the beginning of the 1993-1994 season, but thats the most people ever as far as i can tell (i understand all of them leaving, less than zero hard feelings over any of them)

As of today that leaves grayson, vrankovic, bolden, jackson, delaurier, and white returning plus carter, trent, and oconnell incoming.

4 big guys (carter, bolden, vrankovic, delaurier)
3 wings (white, trent and oconnell)
2 combo/point guards (grayson and jackson)

not at all in experience, potential or styles of play, but the roster personel has a few 2010 parallels
(zoubek, thomas, 2xplums), (singler, kelly, dawkins), and (smith and scheyer)

This group better learn how to play defense b/c scoring will not be on same level as '15-'17.

I think he would have taken it. The second half of this year, LK was the craftiest scorer I can remember in CBB in a while. I thought every shot he took was going in.

Great player and seemed like a really good person. Hope he does well in the NBA.

Have a great career Luke. Thanks for coming to Duke . One thing is he probably won't be a very high pick and get drafted by a decent team that he can develop with. I believe it will take a while for him to be a vital part of his team but like JJ I think he will become a consistent 14-15 point a game guy and one you want late in a close game because of his 3 point shot and free throw shooting. I don't think he will ever be a defensive stopper, OFC

Dang! Why are you so mad? Fans of a team don't think one of their top players will leave and are likely guilty of wishful thinking? News at 11!

It feels like perimeter defense has been the biggest issue most seasons (maybe 2013 and 2015 excepted) since after the 2010 title season really.

Jackson seems above average, Grayson seems average - no real info yet on bolden and delaurier but it seems like they'd have potential to be if they can learn not to foul so much - no idea if trent and carter will be good defenders - will be a real interesting season to watch

Good luck to Luke...met him a couple times and he seems like a great young man and I hope he does great things in the NBA

I have my doubts he will ever get much run in the NBA...but I hope he does
