Still in the hunt!



Reminds me of when Jerry Palm had us as a firm bubble team in 2011-2012… when everyone else had us out (following those two close losses to OSU).

I promise you if we win Saturday we will be back on a lot of bubble boards. Still need two in Indy to get there but within reach. We beat OSU and Indiana and the team (UNLV) that beat the team (SDSU) twice in last 4 in and our metrics are very good despite the fact we lost a lot of close games to good teams. Just have to win them now. That UCLA game would've been soooo helpful.

I don’t disagree. I think if, and that’s a big if admittedly, we win the next 3 games… we will be a 50/50 shot to dance in the first four. How cool would that be given all the adversity we’ve dealt with this year? One game at a time .

Queen had something of a rough game against us - students were on him hard and he got into foul trouble.
I don't see that happening again.
And he still had 14 rebounds against us, while only scoring 9 points.

Ticket prices have skyrocketed for that game as the Terps have won 10 of 12 since we beat them.
One of the 2 losses was that 3 pointer from beyond half court against Michigan State.
18,000 fans screaming at us... Gonna be really difficult.

Looked back at the first meeting between these teams, Barnhizer had 20/10.

Barnhizer did play well that game and Martinelli was 9 of 14 from the floor.
Leach had 6 assists to 1 turnover.
But Barnhizer and Martinelli each had 5 turnovers.

I'd guess Maryland by 10 sounds right.
