Figured I see St Johnās in there for us. Makes perfect sense. May as well throw in Arkansas, BYU as well.
If we can make it to the Sweet 16 and land in Atlanta or Indy....our fans will flock to those places.
I'm hoping that UK will to any region but west (I love games in MSG), but would def like to avoid Auburn.
With 13 sec teams predicted to be in tournament chances are we will play a sec team either first or second weekend , depending how we get ranked.
I think it will be telling how well will do by seeing our results on the game where we play twice an SEC team. We will have that opportunity when we host Vandy and TN. or SEC tournament. I am curious how good is Pope at making adjustments vs a Coach that he played before. That will tell us a lot about his preparation and coaching skills.

After Saturday, I'd gladly take a 3 seed.
Itās kind of crazy that we beat a projected 1 seed at their place with two of our starters out just a week ago today.
Having all the fans has not helped the past few seasons in either the SEC or NCAA tournament. We might do better not being a favorite!
Iowa St still a 2 seed with losses in 4 of their last 6 and only one loss to a ranked Kansas team who is struggling themselves?

I will be happy if UK can maintain a top 4 seed. Anything past the 1st weekend is gravy IMO for this year.

Also, that 19 point home loss to Kansas State, was far worse than our neutral court loss to OSU.
Our resume is better and our losses are due to injuries, but they're a 2 and we're a 3. Yup, got it.

hope so that would be nice but we flocked to Rupp this past weekend and got embarrassed just saying
I'm more talking about the excitement of making it out of the first weekend for the first time since 2019 and being in a location where a lot of UK fans can go. Doesn't mean we will win...just means that the excitement will be back.
The thing about the SEC this year is that a "bad loss" is impossible. There are no bad teams. I think 9-9 and a win in the SEC Tournament gets us a 4 or 5 seed. Few teams have as many big wins as UK, despite the 6 losses.
We are .500 right now and Lunardi has us a 3 seed. Depending on who you beat and/or lose to I think a 3 seed is well within striking distance

There are NO easy sec games but our remaining schedule is better or best of the rest of the league team's upcoming games. Not much to hang your hat on in this conference though. Anyone can beat anyone...except maybe Auburn. And I do think they'll lose...but they are good.(understated) If we can get healthy by then, we could be the team that beats Auburn but it's gonna take a pretty special showing by us.
