If you look at most of the top programs - Alabama, OSU, etc,,,, - they usually have 3 to 4 decommits a year. Just the nature of the beast

Well good luck Luther, business is business. Business first my man. 👍

Competition is gonna be tough at WR, smart move by Luther. He probably realized he wasn't that high up in the pecking order. He'll probably land on the west coast. Whoooeee! OUr defense is gonna shock this season imo. Now, if Grinch can start stackin em deep? AP has OU at #2. I just don't understand bama @#1. But we've got to prove OUrselves this season, I cant wait. In the words of the great Michael Buffer "LET'S GET IT ON!" 😁

I have no problem with our ranking. We have never won as much as a playoff game and no NCs since 2000. If we ever win anything in the postseason, we'll get our due.
Good post, WP.
OU has upped its recruiting game in recent years, but it will take postseason success, a lost art in OU's recent history, to get OU up into Alabama's recruiting level.
Alabama seems to get every player it wants and needs, sometimes at OU's expense.

I heard that Burden wanted his coaches to guarantee that he would be a starter as a freshman and they told him he "might" be in the rotation but they would not rule out redshirting him. He threatened to decommit and they showed him the door.
if true that probably why he decommitted because currently 16 WR's on the roster and think 4 will leave after this season and 3 more will have 1 more year after this season if they chose to stay for next season he'd still have a chance to play at OU next season but it's still his decision and if he's wanting coaches to guarantee he plays next season he may be too full of himself. I would rather have a player willing to earn his spot then just think he's good enough to start and basically demand he plays his freshman year.

You have to earn things in life. Silver Platter fool can become someone else’s problem. We have competent talented receivers that want to earn a spot in CFB best offense.

That's the same thing I've heard. Not a starter but a lot of playing time. OU WRs, have to learn a complicated offense and be a good to great blocker. Not many true freshman can handle both.

If he's afraid to compete, good luck with his future!

No and it does wonders for my electric bill. As to my original post, it's the current reality--whether we like it or not.
You know it's funny, even with Mike we were playin for trophys. Now, Grinch is building a respectable defense, one that I believe can compete in the sec. We're almost there, turn yer lights back on. OG&E is gonna get their money one way or the other. 😁
