Maker and Skal are kind of similar type players. I hope that doesn't hurt our chances
because I really want this guy with all the frontline players that are most likely gone.

With Bragg, Diallo, Newman, Brown, Maker, Rabb, Ingram and Zimmerman, Self is gonna have one heckuva class to waste their talent on in 2015-2016.

Hope he has enough schollies to get Giles, Tatum, Monk, Smith, and Jackson next year too.

Since Cal has been on him pretty hot and heavy recently, I can only assume that this reclassification is a great sign for UK.

Somehow there are guys with higher rankings but this guy has Anthony Davis like potential. I just cannot see him not being a star. I sure hope we get him.

Last 4 crystal ball predictions have been to UK, including Jerry Meyer.

KU still leads percentage wise, but alot of those predictions were made a few months ago.

Are you sure this is the case? TIA.
According to the crystal ball. I should have been more clear.
Look at when the Kansas predictions were made, and then look at when the Kentucky predictions were made. The Kansas selections are top heavy from almost a year ago, and the Kentucky predictions are most recent. You have to know how to understand the Crystal Ball because it is not up to date based on overall percentage.

KU does not lead for him. Link? We hear this BS with every recruit, ie that Kansas leads, UNC or Duke leads. We always hear that KU or someone else leads for every great recruit until he commits. So that way you win either way. Just knock it off.

KU leads for so many recruits because their staff talks to the media more than any other staff.

Cal has changed the world or recruiting in a couple of ways since pairing up with UK. One of those is the fact that a number of 5 stars are wanting to come here and play together...hence the chance of a championship. Not too many years ago, 5 stars would maybe go to a good team, but they wanted to be 'the man'. Some still do, but Cal seems to be convincing more and more of them to come play with other great players. Of course the greater chance to get to the NBA with Cal doesn't hurt either.

But think of college recruiting classes before UK/Cal. I can only think of a few where a school had multiple 5 stars commit the same year.

Maker
Skal
Poythress
Lee...would make for more of the same...potent interior rim protection. Maker is the only guy in this class that would make me comfortable with our front line next year, to contend for a title at least. I see Johnson, Lyles, Towns and Willie all leaving, at least I think so.

Thon and some of the others from Orangeville Prep who are thinking of reclassifying take their exams on Jan. 28th. After the results come back is when he will/will not be elgible to reclassify. He wants to, but it depends on the exam results if he can.

if Cal gets a few of these guys we are in on...we might see a team run more dribble drive then we have had to date

Stranger things have happened especially with calipari recruiting. I just don't see Zimmerman, maker, and Skal, all, coming the same year to UK I would love to have them with Lee. Like I said it's only an opinion. But maybe Cal has a new recruiting pitch with how well our bigs have been sharing minutes thismseason

The thing on KSR says "according to Matt Jones and Andrew Slater". The snippet was written by someone else, hence the "according to MJ" part, but it sounds like he heard it from Slater. Not sure why people constantly assume he is stealing something, especially when at attribution is given.

Is DJ projected in the first round? I know WCS is pretty much gone, and I'm assuming KAT will be too, but if we lose DJ too, then we have plenty of room for Maker and Zimmerman. Triple towers. Why not?

Imagine Brown, Newman, Maker, Labissiere, Briscoe, Matthews, and Zimmerman. Would that be Cal's best class yet?

Never see a single post about swanigan. He is a real possibility.
If we lose all of our bigs, he is one that I would like to snag. A brute of kid

Personally I don't see this as great news for us. We would have had a better shot had he stayed in 2016. Jmo but I'd rather have Dakari back than Maker. Doesn't mean Dakari is necessarily better but would fit better than Maker next year. If we didn't have Skal then Maker fits great. I'm just hoping for Newman and Brown.

Cal and his staff never leak anything but always seem to deliver the goods most of the time.

Chill dude....I wasn't trying to start anything. I actually read on Twitter that Maker was reclassifying and that crystal ball predictions had Kansas in the lead. I was hoping that other posters might have some information that was more favorable to UK.
