and this mindset is why this job has become impossible and one no one wants or wants to play for. the toxic culture created by fans have contributed significantly in the past 5-7 years.

The comparison heavily favors Cal only because he is a hof college coach while Pope is young, Cal took UMASS to household name in a matter of years....Pope is going to probably be like most college coaches. Cal is not the typical college coach.

That Ark team not only has “talent,” it has some good players right now. Brazille is Ark’s best player and probably should be a 1st team All-SEC. The two Centers compliment each other and play their roles well for that team.
Still, that Ark team is not as good as it could be in my opinion. Both Wagner and Acuff should not be starting. One should come off the bench as the backup PG. Wagner is not effective as a 2G. You can have doubts about Wagner’s competence as a PG, but from everything I’ve seen over 3 years now you should either play him at PG or not at all. Last season Ark was much better with Wagner at PG after the “stud” PG Boogie Fland got hurt and a better 2G option slid in beside Wagner.
The question for me in regard to Ark is will Calipari hamstring the team to ensure Wagner starts alongside Acuff or enhance the draft pick status of a freshmen 5-star. This Ark team would be pretty good even without a single freshman. Can Calipari accept that in moments when it’s down to the end and winning time, and the best unit at that moment might not include a draft pick - I don’t think so?

cals rosters will always give you a chance to win because of his roster talent, them being good doesnt shock me
