Really impressed with interview he gave. He said all the right things, but it wasn't that. Just how at ease he was. No pauses. Sometimes, young players sound like they're forcing the canned answers. He was a natural. I don't know how good a player he is, but I'll say I'm not worried about him making a mistake because of a hostile crowd.

In watching the MAA game the other night, I was very impressed with his footwork, use of the rim to protect his shot, nose for the basketball and his understanding of how to use that 7 foot body God gifted him with.
He has the opportunity to contribute early IMO.
If it happens that he’s Garrison backup this year when Brandon goes out and he comes in I feel like the rebounding and rim protection will go up. You can’t ask for more from a backup freshmen
Yep at 7 foot +/- you don't have to have a 40 inch vert. Footwork and being able to work free is as important as anything.
Yao ming might have been the slowest guy on the planet, that dude from Purdue that was huge the last few years isn't really athletic. Footwork and timing can help you much more than anything else at that size. Get some UK level S&C and he will be at least ok in my estimation with potential to become a Nick Richards type.
He was very bright and articulate for his age. Hard to come off well in an interview at that age.

He does’t have to be Michael Jordan, but he needs to be able to get off the floor. His bigger issue is his quickness. He looked slow Tuesday night. I am hopeful that had a lot to do with the State Tournament. We will see Saturday.
Both he and his brother, who played at EKU, are impressive guys.

There is a difference between pointing out things he needs to work on and proclaiming he should not be here.
He barely gets off the floor. However, that was not the crux of my critique. He needs to work on his quickness and speed.
That is my point. It is something he needs to work on. I think he has really improved his basketball IQ this year. Just needs to work on physical attributes.
