Sorry I can't post a link to the article because it's a premium on the Mississippi State Scout website, but the headline is intriguing...and since he made this comment on a non-UK forum, I consider it credible and possibly even revealing of which way he's leaning.

I've thought we are good with him for a while---IF the twins don't return. Time will tell.

Very good if he said something of that nature.

You gotta like our chances as most of us think the twins have spent their final year in Lexington.

I'm not so sure that is the case. Aaron's stock isn't even as high as it was at the end of last season. And I have a hard time believing that one goes while the other stays. I wouldn't be at all surprised that if Aaron doesn't dramatically increase his stock in the next 3 weeks, that the Twins return. I don't think it would be out of the realm of possibility to expect Only KAT and Willie to declare, and it end there. Although, I wouldn't be surprised to see Lyles toss his name in the draft as well.

Cal warned us to expect "a lot" of these guys to go. I think Lyles will be a lottery pick and be gone. Booker is going to have a hard time turning down potential lottery money as well.

If the twins back, sounds like Newman goes elsewhere from what others have stated so then does that increase our chances of landing brown?

If he goes to LSU, it's not because he didn't want to come to UK. Clearly he knows it's a good place for him, it just depends on the fit for the year.

I expect WCS, Towns, and one of Lyles/Booker. Not sure on the Twins. I would assume they go together. I believe Andrew is more NBA ready than Aaron is right now, which is shocking to see me type this after what Aaron did in last years tournament.

Booker could come back and maybe be a top 5 pick and more ready to contribute to an NBA team after another year.

Worst case, I see 6 going. Still would leave Dakari, Lee, Poythress, Ullis, Hawkins, and Willis, hopefully from a championship team. That's a good core. You add stars like Newman and the other guys around them and you've got another championship chasing team.

I'm not getting my hopes up, by any stretch of the imagination. Obviously we will lose a few guys, but it wouldn't surprise me to only lose 3 of these guys. I, like you, believe Lyles will be gone. But Booker, with his relationship with Ullis, could potentially mean a return. Again, not getting my hopes up, But a team that returned the Twins, Poy, Dakari, Lee, Booker, and Ullis, and add Briscoe, Labissiere, and Mattews, would be Preseason Number 1 and favorites to cut the nets down again. It is a Big Blue World, and Cal is ruling it right now.

Well for all the people who keep saying it's LSU all the way,I have one question. Let's apply a little common sense here. If he wants to go to LSU and it's a lock "what is he waiting on"? If he indeed knows it's LSU there is no need to wait. I'll tell you what he's waiting on Ky. He's waiting to see if a spot and playing time opens up for him. He may end up at LSU but he"s not waiting to see who else LSU signs.

Exactly, for conversation sake, if I am not mistaken we need to open up 3 spots for Matthews, Briscoe, and Labissiere. Say we only lose 3 guys to the Draft, KAT, WCS, Lyles. Where does the other scholarship open up? Does Willis transfer or Floreal go back to walk on status?

I'd say Newman would wait until the last minute for the exposure and coverage regardless of which school he was going to choose.

Calipari recently said a lot of current Wildcats will be playing in the NBA a year from now, and he specifically said it will be a lot more than just KAT and WCS. I don't have a link to the quote handy, but it was from a post-game press conference in the last 2 weeks and I just read it this morning.

Twins, Kat, Willie,Dakari, Lyles and Booker are all gone. Plan on that and if anyone stays you'll be pleasantly surprised.

He's the #4 overall recruit, and the #1 shooting guard in the country. He's a McDonald's All-American, and supremely talented. That alone is more than enough to get plenty of exposure at any point in time.

Always chuckle when these comments are made as i promise you it won't work out like that as it never does . Someone will stay you think is leaving and vice versa .

If he was coming to UK and didn't want anyone to know, he probably wouldn't have said that. If he was going to LSU, he might say something like that to throw people off. Maybe he assumes everyone knows his decision depends on what happens with UK.

Based upon what he said, when he said it, and who he said it to, I have no idea where he'll end up.

Harrison's draft stock us about as good as it will get. They're gone...I think they'll do fine regardless of when they're picked

Lyles...gone

Booker...gone

WCS...gone

KAT...gone

Dakari...will go if he gets a guarantee 1st round

There's a lot of wishful thinking in your post

Not wishful thinking at all, it's called looking at it a little objectively. Go back a year ago on this board, and a solid 90% were saying that the twins, WCS, Dakari and Poythress were gone. It's not out of the realm of possibility that at least 6 or 7 guys decide to come back.

if all of those players do leave I would think Newman, Brown, and either Maker or Zimmerman would find it too difficult to pass up coming to Kentucky with the playing time available and obviously Cal commanding the ship

That may be so, but plenty of top players wait til the very end to make a decision nearly ever year.

This late in the game? not so much. There's a trend here. All of the players that are presumed Kentucky leans are not committed to a school, and plan on announcing after the season. This is the first McDonald's All-American game that we've seen since Cal has been at UK where Kentucky's class wasn't loaded up.
A lot of recruits holding out to see what happens on our team.
