Lost 4 of their last 5 games. From an outside shot at the playoff to 8-4.

I know what Kiffin's been saying but does he look at this season and think maybe this is about the ceiling for OM? He can get paid anywhere but can he win championships at OM?

Personally, I don't think AU is the place But it may have more upside than OM.

I'm not a Kiffin fan so I hope he goes to AU, wins 9-10 games per season and gets fired after 3 years like everyone else who goes there because those delusion people think they should beat Bama and win a title every year.

The pirate finished 8 and 4. Funny how 8 and 4 can be viewed so differently.
Miss. St. had a tougher schedule than Ole Miss in one respect- while they had 7 SEC opponents in common, including the head to head game, Miss. St. had Georgia and Ole Miss had Vanderbilt.

Plus Miss St played here while Ole Miss had us at home .

Actually was a good year for Ole Miss, IMO. I would’ve taken the under for their win total. Too many transfers in.

Ole Miss just isn’t that good! We almost beat them on the road and we aren’t good either.

Four times, I think, in the Red Zone and came away with 6 points. Sound familiar?

That stuff happens everywhere, people just don't pay that much attention to other teams. Speaking of other teams, how about Alabama's home crowd in their last game. Those great Crimson Tide fans only support national champions apparently.

Well let's see.....

Tuberville had 8+ wins in 7 out of 10 seasons with the only 2 losing seasons being his first and last season there.

Chizek won 8+ games in 3 of his 4 seasons including a National Championship and did have 1 losing season.

Malzahn won 8+ games in 6 of 8 seasons with no losing seasons.

Harsin was fired after 1 1/2 losing seasons but honestly wasn't enough time to know if he could win there or not.

So as I stand behind my statement that the AU fans have unrealistic expectations of what their program is capable of apparently because despite winning 8+ games every season most did not do well against Alabama which will get you fired quickly there.

They do. They win a title once every 50 years. Granted they should have won 2 in 4 seasons but choked to FSU. Their 2010 team was extremely lucky to win all their games and same with 2013. That only goes to your point they aren't big time at all and their best modern success had some extremely fortunate luck go their way.

Kiffin may be a great offensive minded coach, but he has never won a P5 division, his decision making by going for so many 4th downs has hurt OM far more than they have helped. His calling 2 TO before running the play assured an OM loss if the 2 pt failed.

But AU is ready to pay him 11m a year to win 7-10 games. Well for 3 years, he either leaves on his on or gets fired like every other job he has ever had.

Ole Miss was overrated, in part because UK choked. They lost to every decent to good team they played and drew Vandy. That's the game that got away.
