I didn't know they did that until I watched a game. I was dumbfounded. I hate the pitch clock too. They're changing rules on the shift. It's all stupid. If Matt Olson is really worth $21M/yr, he better be able to slap the ball into LF.
I forgot about the shift. That change just sucks - it's a recognized defensive strategy that involves significant risk. That's one rule they should know better than to change.

The ability of an official to arbitrarily add extra time at the end of the game if it appears the losing team is making a rally, just doesn't make sense to me. Maybe I have the rules mixed up. Anyway, if they did that in the NFL, a game with a pair of QB's like Mahomes and Josh Allen would never end!

Never been a real soccer fan, sure our boys played when young and in school but have always been an American Football fan. Got deployed to Germany a couple years ago and was in Kaiserslautern. Some buddies and I went to 7 or 8 FCK (Football Club Kaiserslautern) games and really became a fan. Its a different atmosphere.

Said all that to say I got tickets for the wife and I so she can see what all the talk is about.

Whenever I see Americans watching EPL soccer or whatever, I get the same feel as when Darude was visiting for the UK game. He didn't quite know how to comport himself at an American football game.

I hope that, although it's an exhibition game, they put on a convincing show for the patrons. They deserve that much at those prices.

I guess a long time ago Kaiserslautern and Nurnberg used to be a force in the Bundesliga, Now those two struggle to stay in the Bundesliga 2. Currently Hamburg and Hannover 96 are in the same boat struggling to get promoted back into the Bundesliga
