I like Pope but he shouldn't have ratted out Mo fudging his height like that...
Players always seem to lie about their height. So we really have a 6'5 PF who can't shoot or score? Lovely.
I think the importance of the height of the top of a player's head is vastly overrated.
Pope misspoke or UK and Bama both got his height wrong. I'm going with the former.
Pope is tall for a coach. Maybe every player shorter than him but still kinda tall is 6'5'' in his mind.
They're all exaggerated. I bet BG is closer to 6'8.
No guys don't claim to be shorter,lol. I can't remember the name of the player under cal who claimed to be 6'9 or 10 and ended up being measured 6'6.
He's talking about Brandon Garrison who is listed at 6'10"; it was the old player switch trick. I could see BG being 6'8" since he plays shorter than that.
Maybe it’s a Pope-ism. Kind of like how Cal would say every other team had an average age of 26 years old.

There's an easy solution to the Mo D shooting debacle.
Give him one three a game. If he makes it, he can shoot another. If he misses, you don't allow him to shoot another three the rest of the game.

I learned this a long time ago… Take a player’s listed height, and subtract 1”-2” depending on how tall the player wants to be.
Please! Dude is taller than 6'5 I've seen him out there on the court. He can play the goddamn five. If he can't shoot that might be the only position he can play. We got guys at all the other positions.

He sure as hell can rebound and lock his man up. He CAN score, just not from distance. Averages 12/6 on 62% FG shooting. Maybe know a little bit about what you are talking about before speaking. IF everyone else played with the toughness MO did, we would be a hell of a lot better off. Just a thought.
Agreed, with shoes and on the floor he’s probably 6’6.5-6’7. Barefoot he might be 6’5ish but they don’t play barefoot so it’s a moot point. He can definitely play small ball 5, think Erik Daniel’s. It’s opponent dependent though IMO.
Mo was amazing in the Cards and Michigan State games for sure..... Aberdeen had more rebounds,lol. Just a thought.
Early returns for me with Mo are, he’s not quite the player I hoped he was. I’d rather see Kam in there getting most of those minutes.
Pope didn’t lie or misspeak. He was just trying to avoid saying “6 7”
I can kinda see that ... Mo was 46.2% on 12/26 from 3 last year, so he seems capable.

Aberdeen had a career game v/s Louisville I give you that.
I was talking about the cards game where Mo had 4 rebounds and Aberdeen 7. You have to admit Mo having a total of 6 rebounds against the only 2 teams with a pulse we have played is weak.
