I posted about them having the same record earlier in the year. Now through 50 games at Kentucky they both sit at 33-17. I don’t think people realize just how bad it has been. Yes beating Duke was nice last year. The Sweet 16 was much needed. However, it overall has been a major disappointment with pathetic effort and way too many blowouts for my liking

Pope could end up worse than Billy G. It's not there yet, but it's trending that way. At least Billy G was able to land Orton and (at the time), top ten Ferguson.

Pope can't recruit anyone.
Trending that way? They literally have the same record. Pope has sexier wins and uglier losses.

I was optimistic last year. Knew we fought though a lot of adversity. S16 was acceptable considering.

Was hoping he'd build off that momentum.

He didn't.

He gets to finish the year- and if it doesn't have a major turnaround he doesn't deserve to be coach next year.

Pope's best team here was far better than BCG's for what it's worth.

BCG helped build the foundation for great seasons in 2010, 2011, and to a lesser extent 2012. Once someone else took the reigns, the team took off. Alcoholism clearly hampered him here.

Gillispie’s teams could get 5% tougher on command. This is not the University of Jodie Meeks.
