Honestly, such a tough sell - come to NU, for 25% of your time here we are practicing at Blomquist and playing at Allstate Arena.
Seating capacity 6,800.
All other things being equal, over the course of the coming season, how many additional losses do you think Cats will suffer due to practicing in Blomquist rather than the old facility? One loss? Theee losses? More?
Same question for playing home games at Allstate vs old W-R, all else being equal. 2 losses? 4?

I'll go with zero on both.
Agree but where're all those fans going to go in 2018/2019?That'd be my guess as well. Is it nice to practice in an amazing facility with great views? Of course. Does it make you a better player? No.
Arena can have an impact if you lose the home court feel / advantage. I just really believe this years team will still draw a crowd at Allstate, coming off the excitement of last season and the potential to be even better. Something like what I saw in 1996 for football should be possible for basketball. We'll see...

Couldn't agree more.Well...clearly they'll just stop being fans because of our bandbox arena!
If a kid and his family can't see beyond the immediate practice facility and arena that they will never ever play or practice in then that player doesn't have brain cells to attend northwestern.
The next 12 months practice facility and Allstate arena should and will have ZERO impact on recruiting.
A hard hat and tour of the new welsh Ryan will have a 100% positive impact on recruiting
