I find these a bit troubling:

"On if taking Drew Barker out was about score or performance: “Actually, early on we had every intention of playing Stephen (Johnson). We just couldn’t get enough plays and we weren’t getting first downs. So, we didn’t have that opportunity. Then, later on we just wanted to give them that spark, we wanted to get the plays that we wanted to get him into the game.”

Is it smart to have a "designed" package of plays for the backup QB with zero Division 1 or SEC experience on the road against UF in one of the most hostile environments?

Two things come to mind: either Stoops thought we would be so ahead that he could afford to do it, or he thought we would be so behind that the results wouldn't matter.

The correct time to implement that would've been LAST WEEK at home, against a lesser opponent.

Notice how Florida didn't take their starter out until they were up 45-0.

Comments like that from Stoops bother me. If during the week the coaches are coming up with the strategy and part of it is to get the backup QB into the game, it is either due to an injury to the starter, being comfortably ahead, or being too far behind. Again can't see the logic in it. You have a starter with little experience, first road start, and your plan is to get the backup some plays. SMH.....

There needs to be a QB competition this week between Barker and Johnson, and let Johnson throw the ball instead of running every play.
There also needs to be a shake up on both the O line and D lines.

Agree with the QB, but unfortunately we don't have the depth on the lines to do it.

Barker definitely wasnt getting it done. But Johnson looked way over his head out there. Maybe because it was his first game against major competition, but looked like no way hes an answer.

Definitely dont want to burn Hoak's RS at this point. So the answer is probably much more of the run game. Unfortunately this leaves our best unit, the WR's, on the wrong side of a game plan.

Also, Im not a fan of how quickly Stoops makes big changes. I think hes too impulsive, and makes big decisions too quickly, without much input from his staff.

Injuries have already forced the OL situation. GAA missed the game due to an ankle but will likely be at RG when he returns and Mosier went down Sat. UK played the 2d half with Young at LT and Stenburg at LG. Played more DL vs UF than SM but they weren't very good either.
