I’m happy for Bolden, what a guy. Set back by injury before he even got to play his first collegiate game. Freshman year was a mess. Takes a backseat to Bagley, Carter last year. I remember the rumor transfer mill. 5 star big time true center being asked to play behind the freshman stars, says a lot about his loyalty and commitment to being a better player by sticking it out. A lot of guys would have left. I know his minutes are kind of all over the place this year with K adapting this team to a NBA “positionless” style offense and putting Zion at the 5, but Marques is really doing a hell of a job when he’s in there. Great rim protector. I haven’t forgotten about those 7 blocks against Auburn, good stuff.

And much as I miss seeing Johnny on bench, putting Nate James on the coaching staff has been nothing short of a blessing. He’s fantastic with big men, really developed Brian Zoubek so well for his senior year and that 2010 banner. Can’t imagine Zoubek getting that playing time and altering that championship game the way he did with his shot contests if it weren’t for Nate James working with him.

Against NCSU: 9 pts, 8 rbds, 3 blocks and 4 steals. Very efficient on O too. 3-3 from the floor and 3-4 from the line. That is a fantastic game!!!

Love Nate. Check out the size of that dude. 6 inches shorter than Bolden and his shoulders are broader! And, Bolden is not a slightly built guy.

That's great stuff! Really enjoy these type of videos. Marques has worked really hard to get to this point...and Nate has been a huge part of it.

Every word I have heard him say or that has been directly attributed to him has been extremely positive, hard work ethic oriented, or team centric. Really wonder why he was the target of so much negative speculation and criticism at times on this board.

I keep seeing people attaching “OFC” at the end of their posts. What does that mean? THR is another one I’ve seen, among a few others... If you or anyone is willing to update me on these forum acroymns, I’d be grateful :D
OFC = On the F’n Crapper. Let’s everyone know they’re dropping off some Tar Heels at the pool.

Good post I agree with everything, and just wanted to say James won alot of games for us a player, stoic warrior.

Watching the development of Ques this year has been a true blessing for fans that miss the old days of being able to do such things.

What we forget is that his development has been slowed by injuries. Now that he is finally 100%, he is showing everyone what he can do.

Bolden has really grown. It’s pretty fun to watch the court. He typically shows good patience in his shot blocking
