best wishes to CM. Hopefully this gets his wrestling career back on the success track. Will be interesting to see what he can do at 165.

That's great for him, I'm glad he's getting his stuff straight and if that means leaving OSU, awesome. BUT... my thoughts.

Don't let the door hit you.....kinda mentality right now. I was a really big CM fan, really hoped he did well, even to the point of looking a little stalkerish. Call me a bandwagoner if you wish. I am not an "insider", I don't know what went on in the room, or the problems he had or has with the team, coaches, family life or anything. I am on the outside looking in, and from the outside, I'm disappointed.

I look at it from this angle...we all knew that he wasn't gonna beat out Ringer for 165. That's two years of no wrestling. He's too small IMO for 174. So that leaves him with 157 if he wants to get in the lineup. He tried and didn't succeed...yet. Now AD is gone and 165 is open for grabs and CM leaves! He's got competition for it but when is there not at OSU...

I am happy for him, don't let any of this steer you wrong, but now I'm glad he's gone. I hope he does well except when wrestling an OSU guy. What's important is his health, and I hope he finds his groove and has a happy life back in PA.

It was not a fit for Chance or Oklahoma State but he has immense talent. I am not going to pretend I know the answer it did not work out here as I do not. I wish him well in the future and we move on. Only time will tell if he made the right decision. Chandler Rogers most likely will step in at 165 and deserves our whole-hearted support.

I too see Chance from far away, so could be off base here. I was never sold on OSU being a good fit for him for the reasons stated by Poel Jeer, and also that given his upbringing, I thought he required a stronger support system from his friends who are mainly back in PA. Interesting that he chose a school that will have two close friends on the team, not to mention his girlfriend is only two hours away. I think that works better for him right now.

I like his honesty about the cut and the mental effect it had on him. He manned up and took responsibility and didn't lay any blame other than on himself. I think it did break him, and sometimes it requires you to hit the reset button on everything in order to move forward again. So I don't think his leaving has much if anything to do with OSU, John Smith, or the competition at 165. I just think he needed a new beginning.

Most on here know that the mental aspect of a significant cut can be tough...which is why the sport is so amazing. These guys perform under constraints that almost no other athletes do.

I am however disappointed that he couldn't make it happen at 57 and always seemed to be some sort of enigma. At 65, he will most likely AA multiple times and I hope he moves on to foster more support for the sport without moving kids away from OSU.

CM wasn't going to make the line up this year either. Besides Chandler there is Wyatt Sheets coming in and isn't Jacobe Smith a transfer in? The future at 165 isn't going to look any better for CM this year or next year even with AD gone. And I ll bank on Sheets making it big at OSU. Both CM and Blees really had no opening and were smart to transfer. Just shows me they have a strong desire to compete and I applaud them for that. Both were great individuals and will be missed but on the bright side that has got to free up a lot of money. Pretty sure John will make good use of this new found money. Its all part of coaching a team. The transfers out might not be over either. We have a logjam at 197 now also. If it means more Chandler time then Im all for it. I think the move down will suit him well.
