This was a big coup by Venables. This was a huge loss for Iowa State.

Apparently, Mason was such a big deal for Iowa State that they sent most of their coaching staff down to South Florida this past weekend to ensure he'd sign with them on signing day.

He still flipped.

He apparently sees the possibility of playing at least one season of sec ball to boost his league value. I hope it works out for him
