Crazy to think we have backups
25/33 Nate Desmond 6-0
33 Ono 0-0
41 Nagao 5-2
49 Connor Pierce 11-1
57 Kasak 0-0
65 Joe Sealy 12-1
74 Will Henckel 9-0
84 Asher Cunningham 7-0
97 Connor Marisola 6-1
Hvy Lucas Cochran 8-1
thats 64-6 over the course of the season by our back ups and that doesnt count any record for guys like Kasak and Ono who has not had a match (not really back ups anyways)
but still that is every weight class covered... with some guys who are winning at a very high rate at the NCAA level
We could field this team and still be a top 10 team.. maybe top 7
Desmond, Ono, Nagao, Kasak, Sealy, Henckel, Connor, and Lucas could all legitimately make a run at AA this year (thats 8 potential AAs this year)
with Desmond, Ono, Nagao and Kasak almost being locks (4)
We are truly witnessing something very special!
I posed this as a hypothetical in the other board. PSU Altoona has a D3 program. Cael should take it over, move up to D1, and have the JVs wrestle out of Altoona in the EIWA or something. It’s the same school, so you don’t have to worry about admissions or credits transferring and Altoona is only an hour away so everyone could train at State College anyway. It would be interesting to see how many JVs could qualify for nationals and where the team would place. Obviously, you can’t include redshirt guys like Kasak or Ono or injured guys like Nagao who can’t wrestle right now, but they’d still have a decent team (and there are guys like Nasdeo who you didn’t list that can fill out the lineup). The challenge for the JV guys is to earn your way into the portal to main campus.Crazy to think we have backups

You ain't got time to take a ride
Well... if it was another team... Kasak and Ono wouldnt need to redshirt... But Cael in SC and Casey in Altoona... interestingI posed this as a hypothetical in the other board. i know this isn’t ever going to happen in real life. Just something interesting to ponder.

Arr there rules prohibiting inter-squad practices? If so, I could see that being an issue.I posed this as a hypothetical in the other board. PSU Altoona has a D3 program.
