Just an enormous amount of data, but a couple of interesting tidbits:
- No surprise that PSU leads the nation in individual champions since 2011, with 34; but the next best B1G programs are OSU with 9 (4th place) and Iowa with 7 (5th place). Cornell comes in second with 13 champs (thanks to multiple-time champs Dake, Yianni and Dean) and Ok. State is third with 10.
- Davis' 4 wins on his way to the conference championship were against wrestlers with 23 years of college wrestling experience!

This is the first National tournament where all 10 PSU qualifiers are seeded top 10!

There have been 81 wrestlers seeded top ten under Cael with almost 75% meeting or exceeding their seed.

There have been 42 wrestlers at #3 or higher and the same % applies. Only 4 of the 18 #1’s have failed to win the title with all four losing in the final.

No matter how you slice it, Caels kids perform when the lights come on. Expect the same this year.

Here is some more data for you. Since Cael Sanderson took over he has had a national champ at every single weight and a B1G champ at every single weight. He has also coached guys who were at the end of their career a 1x, 2x and 3x national champ. After this weekend he will almost surely have at least one 4x champ as well. Not even Dan Gable can lay claim to this. It's truly stunning.

So you are saying we have more champs than the next 3 teams………😎.

Given what has happened with the NLWC, should the Snyder/Dake titles………….ok that is a stretch, sort of.
